Is This Happiness?
🕑 Added 2021-12-28 03:47:25 +0000 UTCRecently I had the privilege of working with Cameron and Alex to create some nature themed artwork during the Holiday. This wasn't a planned project or anything, just pure collaboration and good vibes. Loosely inspired by Bob Ross.
Today I'd like to share the complete collection of photos featuring Alex's artwork. Video of the artwork is being posted later tonight. One huge upgrade coming to Patreon next year... embedding video on the website directly!
I'll start with some new shots of the completed artwork (like the beautiful header!), and then include progress shots I've shared previously. Thank you for your support! <3
I really love this shot of Alex! He looks so powerful and majestic, don't you think? It was important for the artwork to be cohesive, which is why the red river continues to flow down his torso.
This art's quiet intensity and exploration of color is an adventure for your eyes.
Shall we pull back a few layers, to see how we got here?
You should hear some of the things I say to models to get them to smile this way!
Stuff like "Imagine you're being tea-bagged by blueberry muffins" or "Look over your shoulder, there's a Pterodactyl!". If you've modeled for me, I'd love to hear your favorites in the comments. :D
Honestly I think I'm going to share more smiling photos of my models going forward. I sort of like how serious everyone looks in my art, but some people really light up the room when they grin. Don't you think?

These mountains were so much fun to make. I'll have to practice this technique a bit more.
