Tales from Tarot #1 / Ace of Cups

One by one, I'll be talking about each and every card painted giving you a complete snapshot of the journey. This is Tales from Tarot, and will lead to the launch of the physical deck!
Our first card featured is the Ace of Cups with the amazing Kaylea Payne!
Who is Kaylea? She's funny, smart, and has a flair for powerful poses. Did I mention she's also a very close friend of Seth Powers?

STRIKE A POSE! Don't they look great together? Anyway let's talk more about the Ace of Cups. The card can be described as the following (thanks Biddy Tarot):
Really positive things, right?
Kaylea has been on her own journey in life, which included a pretty recent love, and some moves across the country. This painting was done shortly after she returned from living in Wyoming. How did it begin though?
I used real moss in the painting, and funny enough, this is not the cup that was used in the final photography, you shall soon see. I do remember it in Bennett's piece though...
Not the sharpest photo, but a really cool pose! Now to the good stuff:
Let's add a little drama to the art by including some glitter! It made the water parts really shimmer. I also tried to match the artwork with the cup, as you can see!
Why does a cup matter? Why not just show off these amazing arms? SUPER KAYLEA!

Thank you! I usually shoot with a lot of different lighting conditions, but people don't always see that because I usually pick what works best for the set. Now that I'm not trying to show off the card edit, I am free to demonstrate the full range! Glad you like this idea <3

I am glad that you are revisiting the Tarot with even more edits. Different effects, colors, poses, and expressions can really change the outcome. The background info is also interesting. For this card, I especially like the one where Kaylea is smiling while looking down at the cup. The angel wings always look good.
