Kickstarter Update! :)
🕑 Added 2021-09-24 05:27:30 +0000 UTCHello friends! Important (but long) update. I've heard from a familiar friend that a Wizard is never late. Nor are they early. They arrive precisely when they mean to.
The Kickstarter for #Tarot is important for me to get right. I've worked so hard for years manifesting this into reality, comprising of 87 unique body paintings. Heck, I did one of them in the middle of editing a photo. Just so it felt complete!
We're nearly there friends, and I'm thrilled to finally publish this, but we're going to need a little bit more time. My original goal was to have everything ready by 10/01. I needed to set hard deadlines for myself.
After working with my new management team, we've identified ways to make this launch have more impact. New footage has been filmed, I've done some candid interviews, and more are planned!
I've also secured rights (thank you!) to share clips of movies or music videos I've worked on. We're working on editing the pitch video. I'm taking photos of merch. Getting demo decks printed. Stickers. There is so much that goes into this!
It's consumed my life to the point where I've stopped painting people. Everything is Tarot right now (which I love), but it's also why I needed to take a break. I take this so seriously!
That said, during my camping trip I identified that I needed to take more time for myself, and that my current pace was unsustainable. Especially for my mental/physical health. Therefore, I'm making a few changes:
1) The Magician's Tarot is still aiming for an October/November Kickstarter launch window. It's important that it does well the first day, so if you are interested in supporting this, there WILL be an early bird special. ;]
2) I'm going to take a small break between each suit of cards. For example, after releasing the final Major Arcana tonight, I'll release the Ace of Wands on Monday.
3) Going forward, card releases will only be Monday through Friday. Having a weekend off will give my brain time to recharge, so I'm full of creativity again on Monday. Fresh eyes!
4) If you would like to be on the waiting list, let me know, and I'll send you a sign up link! That way you are notified as soon as it's available!
5) You, my Patreon supporters will have early access! Why? You supported me consistently during the Pandemic, when I had to stop painting. You were the reason I was able to get groceries, or pay rent, so I want to recognize that! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for continuing to believe in me. This is my small way of saying Thank You!
