Making A Magician: Part One
🕑 Added 2021-08-30 09:22:01 +0000 UTCWHY ARE YOU SO BLUE?
Is it because I'm sad? Or is it because I'm painted in my favorite color, affectionately known among my friends and fans as "Brandon Blue"? I'll let you decide!
PRO TIP:
If you're genuinely curious about which products I use, 90% of what I've featured was painted with WolfeFX Hydrocolor. My favorite is the metallix blue. :) I've also been trying other brands out recently, because historically I've had supply issues with them (usually being out of what I need). https://www.wolfefx.com/hydrocolor-metallix/
This won't be the full *Magician Reveal*, but the first (and important) stage, turning me blue. I wouldn't have been able to do this without the assistance of Leigh Zagorin! He's my helpful (and hilarious) assistant, a great listener, and a sweet soul. We had a fun shoot!
Please be warned that this post features a bouquet of Brandon body parts, ya know, in case you are reading this at work. Unless you work from home, then I suppose you can do whatever you damn well want. Good for you!

So let's turn on the lights, set the stage, and get ready for a painting!

When I said "set the stage" I guess I meant literally! Check out the adorable table featured in the photoshoot! More on that later, I promise. <#

I really love the field of flowers underneath the hat. It was an early concept I wanted to execute, and I'm happy it came out! It's given me the confidence to work on other head pieces...

I focused on painting the front, while Leigh mostly handled the rear.

It made for some funny moments...like this!

Previously when I painted myself, I wouldn't fully cover myself (because I couldn't reach). Here I am clearly blue from head to toe. I was happily washing it off for a couple of days! :D

You can see my super cool assistant in the mirror here! And me, looking very very blue.
For the next shot (and most of them) I had Leigh climb up on a ladder to take photos because of how tall I am.

I'll leave you with this shot of me painting myself! Are you ready for part two, my loves? We have so many things to still paint and attach! The entire process took about 8 hours...

P.S. If you watched the Twitch Stream, now you know what happened BEFORE I went on. Fun right?

Yes, I am surprised by the hatβs flowers underneath. I can see the hat being reused for like a Mother Nature/Mother Goose cosplay afterward π
So excited to see the finished pictures! Ahhhhh π€π€π€
