Demo Update! Three Wisemen Route, Plus Nick Scene Rewrites
🕑 Added 2025-04-01 03:45:49 +0000 UTCDemo update time! I rewrote a lot of stuff based on feedback about the first ending. Interactions with John have more reactivity based on Button’s relationship and past interactions with him, and the scene inside Nick’s head is now twice as long (with three major variations) and hopefully better reflects their sibling dynamic.
What’s New:
-Rewritten Nick Reunion, where Button gets to literally see how Nick views you. May or may not involve becoming a baby.
-Chapters 18 and 19 of the “Three Wisemen” Route, which happens if you encourage Hope to come visit you in Chicago. This includes the reunion with Hope.
(If you go the Three Wiseman route, you get the additional bonus of introducing your love interest to your family in the epilogue. Or, in the case of Sally and Gray, getting mercilessly ganged up on because the family that teases is the family that cares.)
I’m going to try to get the Sally-Hospital and Vengeance ending out tonight, but I still need to finish recoding Nick’s head scenes in those segments to reflect the rewrite. Also going to one last read-through of this month’s short stories before posting them 😊
Save files will probably work so long as they’re from before Chapter 16.

Requested Feedback:
-Did the options when reuniting with Hope work for your character? In general, did the reunion live up to your expectations? If not, what would you like to have seen/what could be improved?
-Did Hope and John’s dynamic feel natural? They got several rewritings together, not going to lie.
-How do you feel about the reworked fake-out? I got mixed feedback from the original, so I did a little tweaking.
-What do you think of the new scenes with Nick? Do you feel that the scene did a good job of reflecting your stats/relationship with Nick? If not, what options did you feel was missing?

Weird, throughout the game I've been lovely-dovely with my sexy boys, Kent and Glitch, and yet I am forced to be with Gray! Ain't eating pizza at Mario's with that SOAB! Where's my boys!?! About endings, is BRS the only route after shutting Edith down and progressing toward the next chapter? I tried talking to Sally but it didn't work. Getting offed and waking up to my lovely brother BRSed is not cute! I decline. ... Finally, Shard(my tormentor, whom I'd have liked to speak more to) doesn't seem important and doesn't turn up in the final. They feels inconsequential. I invested so much time being naughty with them just in case. What's the plan here? Book 2? Also, I was forced to go "save" Nick even tho I distinctively remember choosing the V route -- am i using playing the wrong link? I hope your family has gotten past the trouble and that you're all recovering mentally. Sending u huggies.

In Ambrose's office, when you're dismissed(not one worthy of Doyle etc.) he's supposed to comment on the box, I think. He has no line, but the choices MC has indicated that he knew MC was looking at it. Is this a mistake?

I can't access the 3 Wiseman's ending - I keep getting Save Nick and then immediately going to Gray's epilogue.

I currently don't have the time to playtest, but I'm so excited about the LI-family introduction in the epilogue. Can't wait for more awkward moments between Hope and Rosy! >:)

I think I've encountered a bug. I was romancing Ambrose, but seem to have gotten Gray's romance epilogue? I get three options about the relationship with him, and the only one that isn't greyed out is about officially dating. I also accepted the ment bomber's help when he offered it that night, but the epilogue claims that I turned him away. On a more positive note, I think this may just be the best IF I have ever read. You're an amazing writer, and the way you're able to bring the characters to life and make the reader truly feel what they're experiencing is unreal. This story has me in an absolute chokehold.
