[Preview] Upcoming v1.2.1 Features
🕑 Added 2025-04-24 00:15:20 +0000 UTCI am happy to present Version 1.2.1 of the TOTK Randomizer! This update adds a good amount of new animals to the spawn pool, as well as new insanely well environmental changes. It also comes with nifty changes, bugfixes and memory optimizations to make the experience even better.
As I mentioned, new animals have been added to the spawn pool - witness how Deer, Dondons, Goats, Ostriches, Seagulls, Sheep, Sparrows and Squirrels can now spawn everywhere. Also, the Accented Pigeon has been added to the Pigeon animal spawn group. Being at 24 monster and 16 animal spawn groups at this point results in quite some interesting encounters! 10 new insanely well environmental changes have been added by Miru - take a look at the screenshots down below to get blown away!
As for changes, the chance to spawn actors is now slightly higher (from 4.5% to 5.0% chance per second) and Cuccos, Foxes and Pigeons now spawn slightly closer to the player to increase their visibility. Honeyvore Bears and Grizzlemaw Bears now drop more items upon death to make it worth fighting them and item dialogues for Armor Pieces and Materials now display faster outside of the Randomizer Shop. When getting a refund or having to pay again in the Randomizer Shop, the total payed price will now be applied instead of the price per unit, however the chance to get a refund or having to pay again in the Randomizer Shop has been decreased.
The chance to obtain Armor Pieces in regular gameplay has been very slightly increased and the chance to obtain Materials you have a goal for in regular gameplay has been decreased, whereas the chance to obtain Armor Pieces and Materials in the Randomizer Shop you have a goal for has been increased. As for the last change, teleportation animations are now 0.3 seconds faster which saves time in the long run!
As for bugfixes, a bug has been fixed where randomized enemies stopped spawning when randomized animals were chosen and reset and a bug has been fixed where a wrong environmental change was chosen for the final phase of the Demon Dragon battle. Lastly, a bug has been fixed where the Waikuteru credits Zonai text was not taking the option to display the text at the bottom into account.
