TW Update #64 - The Eyes Have It
🕑 Added 2023-09-09 10:25:52 +0000 UTCAnother week, another update!
Slightly delayed from bug-hunting; I cleared up a couple things that caused the game to crash, but for all I know that put a couple new bugs in.
The Eyes proved complicated as I thought, so currently the only functioning menus for them are to change the colour of the 'default' eyes and indicate whether you want glazed or default as your base for your thrall, with the intent to add in content for the Indicator States and Glazing later.
Probably going to take a day or two to step back and see how feasible this level of complexity is for the model in the future, and what parts of what projects need my focus. There's stuff on my table that I'd been a two week's grind from finishing up for the past 4/5 months now, and that's not great.
But I'm happy with this update and the Thrallworks progress at least, and that's the main thing; looking for some additional content and art toward the end of this month- certainly a complete outline of the next scene, a 2nd pass of some of its writing, and maybe more besides. There's this whole 'apartment' game loop that I think I'll nestle in there narratively but skip over to try and hit some of the higher-priority development targets- seems like something to get at after this more immediately interesting designer has been completed.
Anyway, that's that for this Update; next week we'll be adding in hoods-- and also you $10 patrons will get to vote on getting a new thrallsuit design into the mix, suggested by one of your own! Fun times.
Enjoy!
