Chapter 9: Fight Against a Dragon
🕑 Added 2025-04-12 04:01:34 +0000 UTCIn almost all myths and legends, their huge bodies, hard local scales, the power to destroy towns with a slight movement, and the terrifying dragon breath that can spit fire always arouse envy and are praised by people.
Perhaps it is the instinct of all primates to be keen on challenging the strong, so they always appear as villains and become the target of heroes. In fact, in the era before the end of the Age of Gods, the population of dragons was rampant, and there were also brave dragon slayers in order to maintain human order.
But I have never heard of humans coming to challenge dragons just to verify their own strength.
But Menachel broke this precedent.
The huge creature in front of him really deserves the title of “giant”. It has a dark body that is larger than any monster Menachel has ever seen before, but the size of its eyes is one person tall, and the airflow exhaled by normal breathing is enough to make people unable to open their eyes.
But what opponent is more exciting than this?
Menachel’s eyes flashed with excitement, and the blood in his body seemed to be boiling and rushing all over his body, making his eyes and skin stained with a layer of blood.
He pulled out the knight’s sword on his waist, and pointed the slender sword directly at the giant dragon lying in front of him, but the huge size made people feel that the blade might break at any time.
Teacher Merlin should make a big sword.
This thought emerged in Menachel’s mind. He ignored the “guide elf” that had disappeared beside him, and just walked towards the dragon step by step. The strong airflow made the cloth armor on Menachel’s body rustle.
When he approached a certain distance, the sleeping dragon in front of him suddenly opened his eyes. Through the other party’s bright golden vertical pupils, Menachel could clearly see his own shadow.
At the moment the dragon woke up, Menachel changed his previous slow approach speed. He exerted force on his feet and rushed straight to the dragon’s head, with the blade in his hand pointing directly at the dragon’s golden vertical pupils that had just opened.
But then Menachel’s charge paused. The strong wind caused by the dragon’s flapping wings made Menachel’s forward charge pause slightly.
During this short pause, the dragon had already leaped up and freed itself from the ground. Then, a dragon tail smashed down on its head without mercy.
With a slightly unhappy sound of “tsk”, Menachel protected his head with both hands and took the blow from top to bottom. At the moment of landing, he used force with his feet to prevent himself from falling into an unfavorable position lying on the ground.
His legs supported a much heavier weight than usual. Even though Menachel had been repaired by the phantasmal species over and over again, the innate gap between humans and dragons could not be eliminated so easily.
His legs sank inch by Inch into the mud under his feet, and his knees bent down uncontrollably – the current situation was undoubtedly worse than the bad position of being pressed under him.
But it was impossible to get away now.
Menachel made up his mind and released the dragon’s tail with both hands at the same time. He turned his head to avoid the vital part and let the dragon’s tail hit his shoulder. Menachel’s body tilted and he almost fell to the side. He felt a burning sensation from his left shoulder, but he didn’t have time to think about it. While the dragon’s tail had not yet retracted, Menachel suddenly hugged his hands and grabbed the end of the dragon’s tail. He turned his right wrist holding the sword and inserted the blade into the gap between the dragon’s scales. There was no accurate sense of impact. The force was too little. Menachel thought to himself and simply let go of the hilt.
The dragon was frightened and roared and rushed upwards. Menachel also used the force to step out his feet.
If he let it fly up again, he would only be beaten passively.
Menachel knew it very well, so he was not prepared to let the dragon go so easily.
“Give it to me—”
Menachel was being dragged and was about to be suspended in the air. Suddenly, he took a deep breath, loosened his hands and changed from hugging to grabbing, tightly grasping the tip of the dragon’s tail. The uneven and rough dragon scales easily cut Menachel’s palm, and blood splashed down his palm.
But the wonderful touch from the tail also obviously had a wonderful effect on the dragon. Menachel could feel the huge resistance at this time.
“—Get down!”
He exerted force with his arms, and even bent his whole body due to excessive force. Under the extremely strong traction force greater than the power, the dragon’s body fell down.
Smoke and dust rose up. With a roar, Menachel barely climbed out of the pit.
Just now, he was only thinking about how to block the dragon’s flight advantage, and completely ignored the risk of being overwhelmed.
There was a strong tearing feeling in his waist and back, and a crisp bone cracking sound came from his left shoulder.
The pain that had not been transmitted just now due to excessive excitement came as expected at this moment. Menachel licked his lips that were dry due to excessive excitement. He glanced at the knight’s sword that he had just discarded, but unfortunately there was a crack on the sword.
Are dragon scales so hard?
Menachel’s eyes condensed, and a roar with strong resentment went straight into Menachel’s eardrums.
That guy hasn’t fainted yet?
In a split second, a bad feeling arose. Without caring about chivalry, Menachel rolled sideways again, and in an instant a purple-red beam of light shot out from the smoke. The high temperature caused by the strong magic fluctuations instantly made the air dry.
Menachel, who was unable to dodge, covered his injured arm. The high temperature instantly stopped the bleeding of the wound, so there was no need to worry about losing the ability to fight due to blood loss.
Fortunately, the injury was still only on his left hand, at least he still had one hand to use.
He turned his head to look at the outline of his left hand, and Menachel cracked his mouth.
Now it is completely disabled.
He leaned over to pick up the knight’s sword that fell on the ground. To be honest, he regretted coming to challenge the dragon.
The heart was beating violently, supplying blood in the body to all parts of the body, and the pain was no longer obvious due to the high excitement of the brain at this time.
The aroused knight swung his sword to cut off the charred flesh. The young brain had completely lost rational control at this time. Menachel could not tell which happened first, [the dragon stood up] or [swung the sword to charge].
But it didn’t matter anymore.
Now Menachel only wanted one thing, to kill this damn dragon.
