Chapter 247: Points
🕑 Added 2025-04-08 13:45:13 +0000 UTCAfter initially adapting to her own state, Hu Liena was ready to leave.
After all, staying in this retreat for a long time, it felt quite depressing. As soon as she opened the door, she felt a bright light in front of her eyes. Then Hu Liena found that she had returned to reality, the entrance to the bottom of the soul tower.
“You came out so soon?” The staff at the counter was a little surprised and said, “Why don’t you practice in there for a while? There are not many such opportunities in the early stage.”
“Not many opportunities?” Hu Liena saw her like this and was a little confused and said, “Excuse me, what do you mean by this?”
“It seems that you really don’t know.”
The staff shook his head and said, “Don’t you find that there is any difference in practicing in the seclusion room?”
“Difference?” Hu Liena began to think back and found that there was nothing different about the seclusion room. At most, it was very comfortable to stay there and practiced very quickly.
Seeing that she still didn’t understand, the staff could only reveal the answer: “The space of this soul tower is divided into nine floors. Each floor has the function of assisting cultivation. The higher you go, the better the effect of assisting cultivation. It will create a simulated environment that best suits the characteristics of your martial soul. The first floor you just went to has double the efficiency of cultivation. The second floor has three times the efficiency, and so on. The ninth floor has ten times the efficiency!”
“So that’s how it is… No wonder I feel that cultivation is so smooth.” After listening to it, Hu Liena suddenly realized and finally solved the doubts in her heart. She was just wondering why the cultivation was so fast after the ring was broken? Even if it was easier to cultivate again because the level was originally very high. It would not be so fast.
It turned out to be because of the environment.
“But, what do you mean by not having many opportunities just now?” Hu Liena said with a very humble attitude. She didn’t dare to underestimate this seemingly ordinary staff member.
“Although the Soul Tower can help with cultivation, you can’t just enter it casually.” The staff explained: “In order to prevent you from having the Idea of getting something for nothing, the academy stipulates that if you want to go into seclusion and enjoy the cultivation bonus, you need to pay a fee. The higher you go, the more fees you need to pay! And the fees are charged on time.”
“You are a special case for freshmen this time, so there is no limit on your stay in there. As long as you don’t leave the seclusion or can hold on, you can stay as long as you want.” He said.
Oh, so this is a special case. You can take advantage of the academy’s benefits for free.
Hu Liena understood. But she didn’t care. After all, she was the Saint of the Spirit Hall and never lacked money. There was no need to take advantage of this little advantage.
“Then how much does it cost to go into seclusion on the ninth floor for a day?” She asked very arrogantly.
The staff looked at her strangely and said, “Money? Do you think you can enter such a place of cultivation with money? The fees I’m talking about are not vulgar things like soul coins.”
Hearing what he said, Hu Liena was shocked, and then asked carefully, “Then may I ask, what do you mean by the so-called fees?”
“When you received the admission notice, you should have a mobile phone.” The staff said.
“Yes, I do.”
Hu Liena quickly took out the mobile phone from her pocket and wanted to give it to him. The staff waved his hand and said, “Don’t give it to me. There are actually many hidden functions in this mobile phone that you don’t know. One of them is the points function.”
“Points function?” Hu Liena felt like a newbie who knew nothing.
“Yes, the points function.”
The staff nodded and explained: “In fact, even if I don’t say these, your teacher will tell you in the future. The so-called points function, the key is the points, points can actually be regarded as a kind of virtual currency. You can use points to buy some things, or the knowledge you want.”
“Although food, clothing, housing and transportation are all free in Baiyun College, some things are not free. For example, if you want to practice in the Soul Tower, then even the first floor, you have to consume 10 points every day.”
“And if you want to learn higher-level meditation methods, or other knowledge, you can also use points to exchange.” The staff said meaningfully.
“Can everything be exchanged?” Hu Liena immediately thought of the purpose of coming here. Can the Ring Condensation Method that reformed the Soul Master system also be obtained through exchange?
“Some can be exchanged directly with points, while others require permissions.” The staff shook his head and explained, “The so-called permissions are the network permissions that your mobile phone can access. There are levels one to six, and you are now at the lowest level one. The highest level six permissions are only owned by the city lord and the vice president."
‘I don’t know what level of permissions are required to exchange for the Ring Condensation Method? It won’t require the highest level six permissions, right?’ Hu Liena thought to herself after hearing this.
“Then how can I get a higher level of permissions?” Hu Liena asked.
“Simple, you can upgrade your permissions by completing the tasks issued by the academy. Similarly, points can also be obtained by completing the tasks issued by the academy.” The staff did not hide it.
“Tasks? What kind of tasks are they?” Hu Liena asked.
“The content of the tasks can be difficult or simple, and the points obtained will be different. The simplest small task may just ask you to clean the entire campus. And if it is a task that wants to upgrade permissions, the difficulty will be beyond your imagination. It may be asking you to go deep into the soul beast forest to hunt 100,000-year soul beasts or something.” He said.
“…”
Hu Liena was silent, and her face returned to normal after a moment. Then she thanked the staff, “Thank you for telling me this.”
“You’re welcome.”
The staff smiled. Since being assigned to work here, his daily life has been quite boring. No one talked, and someone came to ask. This is not a secret, so I helped her answer her questions.
‘Points? Tasks?’
‘If you want to get points, you have to complete the tasks.’
‘If you want to increase your authority, you have to complete the tasks.’
Hu Liena thought about the staff’s story carefully, and the more she thought about it, the more she felt that Baiyun College must have some ulterior motives for doing this.
‘We must pass this information back to the teacher!’
She made a decision in her heart.
After a while.
Many students came out of the seclusion room one after another.
As for Teacher Cao, they didn’t know where he went, and the students didn’t dare to leave rashly. So they decided to wait here, so a group of people just stood in the hall. The staff at the counter saw this scene and waved. Suddenly, rows of seats appeared in the empty hall.
After expressing their gratitude, the students sat down and waited.
