The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 13/December/2018
🕑 Added 2018-12-14 15:00:00 +0000 UTC Blimey, we’re really whipping through December, lol!I was going through the plan this week and building it out a little more ready for when I come to write it.
But I decided on a few things as I was doing that that I want to add, so I was making sure to note those down. One of those things is going to be subtle but awesome for personalised playthrough, so I’m super pleased I managed to think of that!
So yeah, still working on the prep, which is going great! Seeing what I have planned and how it leads into Chapter 8...oh man, still unbelievably excited when I can start writing this, hehe :D

Update+
For Update+ this week, I thought I'd give a little snippet of stuff I've been working on during prep.
So, when I plan out a book, I usually start with a basic idea of the flow of each chapter and certain moments I want to happen in it. Then I will go in just before writing a particular chapter and fill it out with things such as senses during that scene (sight, touch, sound, taste, scent—can't always get them all in, but I like to try :D) to help with immersion, as well as specific choices, actions, variations, etc.
I was working on senses for the beginning of Chapter 7 where the MC is in their apartment waiting to head to the carnival.
The sense was sight. Obviously it's unedited and more a scribble of an idea of what I might put in:
'As the dark settles over the rooftops and trees, I make to turn away, but pause when a new light bursts to life.
At the very edge of town, small flashes of fluorescent colours begin to twinkle to life, like colourful stars against the shadow of the forest.
The carnival has awoken.'

Hope everyone has an amazing weekend! :)
(I'll reply/send out rewards and messages as soon as I finish work on Monday! I'm still waiting on reponses from people who are owed rewards, so if you're still waiting, please check your messages on Patreon. If you don't have one, let me know and I'll sort that ASAP!)

Aah, what an amazing compliment! Thank you so much. I'm so happy to know those details really help flesh out the world for you :)
I love the way you describe all of those details, they may not seen like much to some people, but the extra attention to detail really sells me the world and helps with the inmersion, i honestly believe this has been the first game with no visuals that can perfectly picture in my mind all of the places, a really awesome job 😊
