Hydrus Black chapter 2

Harry gasped as he suddenly felt like his entire body was pushed into a small tube, he felt himself twisting and turning and shaking before suddenly he fell onto his hands and knees, he barely noticed the dark floorboards he was on before he felt something climb up his throat and he ended up emptying his stomach onto the floor in front of him. He ended up vomiting twice before he finally remembered that there was somebody there with him.
"Ew," Bellatrix said, sniffing as she looked down at him.
"I...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..." Harry trailed off, cringing and expecting a beating to happen.
"I know you didn't mean to do it, I'm not dumb," Bellatrix rolled her eyes before she waved her wand and the vomit vanished, including the small bit left on Harry's face.
"How did you do that?" Harry blurted out.
"Magic," Bellatrix answered simply.
"Magic?!" Harry repeated in a shocked voice whilst supporting an expression of awe, one that Bellatrix found to be really adorable.
"Yes, my little brat," She said affectionately as she rubbed his hair. "I can do magic with my wand," She twirled her wand briefly, sending a few sparks into the air. "Because I'm a witch," She said proudly.
"A witch?" Harry gaped. "I thought witches are evil."
"Some are," Bellatrix snorted. "Now, get up and follow me." She instructed, Harry had a whole ton more questions but decided he didn't want to make the witch angry and quickly stood up and followed after her, as he did so he took the opportunity to look around the building. It was a lot different from the Dursley's home, it was all dark with only some torches on the walls for light, Harry didn't really mind the darkness, he was used to being in the dark.
"Who is this?!" A high-pitched voice demanded.
The two stopped and turned around, Harry had been expecting a person but instead found himself looking at a picture of a woman who was wearing black clothes and had her black hair in a bun while looking at him with cold grey eyes.
"Who said that?" Harry whispered to Bellatrix.
"I did!" The woman in the painting snapped, causing Harry to jump back.
"It...it moved!" He blurted out, pointing at the painting.
"Of course, I moved!" The woman shouted at him, causing him to cringe and move back, only to stop when Bellatrix stepped in between him and the picture.
"Do not talk to him like that," Bellatrix growled, pointing her wand at the portrait.
"Did you bring a filthy muggle into my house?!" Demanded the woman.
"He's not a muggle!" Bellatrix said angrily.
"He looks like a pauper!"
"I'm working on it!" Bellatrix snapped.
"You brought this boy into my house and..."
"It's not your house!" Bellatrix cut her off. "Because you're dead, thank Merlin, and if you dare to ever insult my boy against then I will burn your portrait down with fiendfyre!"
"You wouldn't!" The woman shrieked, looking paler than before.
"I hope you'll test me and find out," Bellatrix warned before she flicked her wand and a pair of curtains closed around the painting, silencing it. Bellatrix huffed before she looked at Harry who looked like he just had been attacked by a dragon. "Your pictures don't move?" She asked Harry curiously.
"No," He said quietly, shaking his head quickly.
"Muggles are so weird," She said with disbelief.
"W...what's a muggle?" Harry couldn't help but ask.
"People who can't do magic," Bellatrix explained.
"Oh, am I a muggle?" He asked.
"No, of course not," Bellatrix snorted. "You're my brilliant magical boy," She told him.
"I'm...magical?" His voice was small and filled with no small amount of disbelief.
"Yeah," Bellatrix said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, she smiled at him before she placed a hand on Harry's back. "Now, some of the paintings here can talk, if they say anything mean to you then you come and tell me." She told him before she guided him towards the kitchen.
As soon as they entered the kitchen Harry spotted a beautiful brown-haired woman who was sitting at a table but had quickly gotten up upon seeing them.
"Where is Narcissa?" The woman asked.
"She's dealing with the muggles," Bellatrix frowned.
"Why do you sound jealous?" The woman couldn't help but ask.
"Because I wanted to do it," Bellatrix complained. "They hurt my baby!" She said, pulling Harry into a hug, Harry smiled slightly, he could admit to himself that he was starting to enjoy these hugs.
"Alright, let me see the damage," The woman said, Bellatrix let go of Harry and allowed the woman to approach. "Hello, my name is Andromeda," She said in a kind voice.
"I'm Harry," Harry shyly introduced himself to the woman that looked a lot like Bellatrix.
"It's nice to meet you," She smiled at him. "I'm Bellatrix's sister, I'm a healer, do you know what that is?" She asked.
"No, Miss Andromeda," Harry shook his head.
"It's the same as a doctor," Andromeda explained as she took out her wand. "Now, hold still so I can give you a check-up, this might feel a bit weird but it shouldn't hurt." She waved her wand over him, Harry felt a tingle go over his body, Andromeda frowned and started waving her wand several more times before she stopped and stared at Bellatrix. "When Narcissa gets back, make sure she has sufficiently punished those muggles."
"That bad?" Bellatrix's eyes narrowed.
"He's going to need a lot of potions," Andromeda told her bluntly. "When's the last time you ate something?" She asked Harry.
"Um...the day before yesterday," Harry answered.
"What?!" Bellatrix yelped. "We need to get you some food. Kreacher!" She called.
Harry was about to open his mouth to speak when suddenly a popping sound was heard and a small creature appeared in front of them, the creature was slightly smaller than Harry, it had wrinkly skin, a big nose, a bald head, was dressed in a pillow case and had long bat-like ears, whatever it was, it wasn't human. Harry, having never seen it before and still not used to things suddenly appearing in front of him, jumped back and let out a small scream.
The creature known as Kreacher suddenly found himself flying back and crashing into the wall behind him before flopping down on to the floor. Harry was staring at the downed creature with wide eyes before he heard a squeal of delight and found himself picked up into the air and pulled into another hug by Bellatrix who was grinning like a loon before she sat him down on the table.
"Did you see that, Andi?!" She asked Andromeda in an excited voice. "My little boy did accidental magic! Sent the old elf flying!"
"Yes, I saw that, Bellatrix," Andromeda spoke up, slightly impressed. "And he's not your boy."
"Yes, he is!" Bellatrix said stubbornly. "He's my brilliant magical boy."
"Mistresses...Mistress's young boy is indeed impressive," Kreacher spoke in a raspy voice as he forced himself up to his feet.
"What is that?" Harry asked, pointing at Kreacher.
"I am Kreacher, servant of the noble house of Black," Kreacher said proudly.
"He's a house elf," Andromeda explained to Harry. "That's a magical creature. He does all the cooking and cleaning around the house."
"They're basically our servants," Bellatrix summed up.
"Oh," Harry frowned and scratched the back of his head. "Am I a servant?" He asked.
"Why would you think that?" Andromeda asked curiously.
"Because I do all the cooking and cleaning for Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon," Harry answered.
"You are no servant of anyone," Bellatrix said in a firm voice. "You are my son, you serve nobody."
"Am...am I really going to be your son?" Harry asked hesitantly.
"Yep," Bellatrix grinned before placing her hands on either side of Harry's head, she rubbed her nose against his before kissing his nose and then forehead. "I'm going to make you my son," She told him, her grin as wide as ever. "We're going to be a family and grow old together and have lots and lots of fun!" She giggled.
"I...I like that," Harry smiled back, suddenly feeling hopeful, at least for a few seconds. "But what about Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia?" He asked in a sad voice. "They won't let me go and..."
"We will worry about them," Bellatrix cut him off. "You're going to be my son, they can't tell you what to do anymore."
"Really?" Harry grinned. His smile looked a lot like Bellatrix's.
"Yes," Bellatrix replied. "Those silly muggles aren't going to bother you anymore."
"I hate to be a downer but I should point out that you still have to apply to have custody of him," Andromeda spoke up.
"Details," Bellatrix said dismissively before turning to Kreacher. "Kreacher, my boy hasn't eaten in two days, he's been starved by those stupid muggles, make him some food."
"At once, Mistress," Kreacher quickly bowed. "Stupid muggles dare to starve a wizard of the Black family? Should be executed," He mumbled as he walked off. "Kreacher should's be stripping their skin," He continued mumbling and muttering the whole way out.
"Now, while Kreacher is getting you some food, we'll try and explain a bit about the wizarding world to you," Andromeda told Harry.
*Line Break*
"Hmm," Narcissa smiled to herself as she arrived at Number Twelve Grimmauld Place, she swiped a bit of dust off her shoulder before Kreacher appeared in front of her.
"Mistress Narcissa has arrived," Kreacher said, sounding pleased. "How may Kreacher help?" He asked eagerly.
"Where is everyone?" She asked impatiently.
"They's be in the kitchen," Kreacher answered. "Mistress Bellatrix is entertaining the new Black son."
"That'll be all," Narcissa said, dismissing him before she walked away and headed to the kitchen, noticing that Walburga's portrait had been covered, quite honestly she was suprised that Bellatrix hadn't simply just burnt the painting down yet, she doubted it would be very long before she did so. Walburga was proud and stubborn, she wouldn't hold her tongue for long, and Bellatrix had apparently become attatched to the Potter boy, so something would happen eventually. It was not a matter of 'if', only 'when'.
Narcissa walked into the kitchen and stopped to take in what she was seeing, firstly Andromeda was kneeling in front of the fire place and had sticked her head into the green flames, obviously floo calling someone. She then found Bellatrix sitting opposite Harry, lazily moving her wand around to control what appeared to be a small, green, toy-sized dragon that Bella had likely made herself. Young Harry was staring at the dragon with awe, heasitantly reaching out to pet it while Bellatrix looked as proud of herself as Narcissa could ever remember.
"I see that you've all been busy," Narcissa spoke up, causing Bellatrix and Harry to look away from the dragon.
"Ah, Cissy," Bellatrix greeted her first. "How are the muggles?" She grinned.
"For some reason I got the impression that they were scared of me, I couldn't imagine why," Narcissa drawled with a small smirk on her lips before she turned her attention to Harry. "I hope my sister has been treating you nicely?" She asked.
"Yes, Miss Narcissa." Harry quickly nodded.
"It's Mrs, not Miss," Narcissa corrected him.
"But for you it's 'Aunty Narcissa'," Bellatrix added before Narcissa could say anythinng more. The blonde sister frowned at her older sister, she was about to insist that Harry call her Mrs Malfoy, but then again, she did like the sound of being an aunt.
"Are you sure that she's alright?" Harry asked heasitantly, pointing towards Andromeda.
"Yes, don't worry, she'll be perfectly fine," Bellatrix said, finding his concern to be somewhat amusing.
"Yes, I am aware that muggles don't use the floo network but for us it is perfectly safe," Narcissa added. "Now, we should work on getting you some food and clothes." She added.
"We've already got him food," Bellatrix said, "Kreacher was sent off to get him clothes."
"Good," Narcissa said just as Andromeda pulled her head out of the fireplace, allowing the flames to die down and dissepear.
"Ah, Narcissa," Andromeda said in a pleased voice. "Did you punish the muggles?" She asked as she stood up.
"Sufficently," Answered Narcissa. "Who were you calling?"
"My husband, he's willing to represent us in court," Andromeda said in a pleased voice.
"Do we really need your mudblood's help?" Bellatrix complained.
"Bella, I will not have you insult my husband and do not use such language in front of young Harry," Andromeda admonished.
"What's a 'mudblood'?" Harry asked curiously.
"It's a bad word that Bellatrix should not be saying," Andromeda replied. "And I don't want to hear it from you either," She told Harry.
"It's what most of us call witches and wizards that were born from muggle parents," Bellatrix explained.
"I think you'll find that most people just call them 'muggleborns'," Andromeda huffed.
"Am I one of those?" Harry asked with a small frown.
"No, you're a halfblood because both of your parents were magical," Narcissa explained before turning to Andromeda. "Are you sure that your husband is good enough for this?"
"He's more than good enough," Andromeda said confidentily, he turned to Bellatrix to say something but stopped when she saw that Harry and Bellatrix were playing with the dragon again, both having evidentily grown bored of the conversation.

Massive thanks for the fast update. I’m dying to see where this goes. Really looking forward to Hydrus going to Hogwarts. Curious to see what improvements Hydrus will go through now that he has the access of the House of Black. Definitely gonna be at least normal if not a bit above average. Possibly getting rid of those glasses? Are you gonna go with blood adoption magic? Also what will the succession now be for the House of Black with Hydrus in the picture? Saw you mention the soul shard. Are you gonna have Harry stroll into Hogwarts first year with Slytherins locket? Lol. Can’t wait for the next chapter.
