I Try and Skate

How many of you guys grew up on Tony Hawk or Skate? Tell me your thoughts in the comments.

This was a lot of fun. I had to re watch a bunch of it twice. It's too bad they couldn't do more with this. The jankiness just makes it more entertaining. I was a big fan of skateboarding when I was a kid, I couldn't do too much because it was too much of a wuss. But I played the hell out of Tony Hawk with my friends and that hit the itch. Never played any of the skate games. I kind of lost interest around Underground 2 but have gone back to play a lot of them over the years.

Aye, the devs even tried to file a cease and desist against one of the modders who helped the game. (to make it better ofc lol). If you get around to playing session, I think you'll enjoy it a bit more, in terms of a game at least. It still feels a wee bit drab sometimes and is definitely a more difficult game, but has a lot more soul in it.

We had SSX growing up for all the winter sports stuff (more of a racer but I loved SSX Tricky so much). Also "Cool Boarders" I think it was called. I don't know 1080 Snowboarding though. But aye we had Tony Hawk's 3, 4, Underground, U2 and American Wasteland. Plus all 3 Skate games once they came out. It's a shame the genre's kinda died out since it's hayday.

It's really strange that they went through all the trouble of making the game in the first place to abandon it before adding any kind of "game" to what they'd made. It's kinda mental tbh. Maybe they couldn't program AI well or something? Idk.

Grew up on Tony Hawk pro skater, and 1080Β° snowboarding (similar and really fun). Would play those games for like 8hrs straight. This game needs goals to hit so there's something to work towards. Or like at least a point system. Anyway thanks for the upload ππ ππ

Oh my π As someone who skates and grew up playing the skate series/THPS games, this is brilliant. Love it mate. Thank-you for the content, it's always great! You hit the nail on the head with the game not having anything to do though. The devs promised more content way too many times and then just decided to leave it in the dust.
