Hello everyone!
We hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving and are in full Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanza/Non-denominational winter festival planning and preparation mode!
As we close out the year, we wanted to take a quick look back, let you all know what we're up to now and give you all an idea of where we're going in the near-future as well as solicit feedback from you-all about the podcast, our patreon and ways we can improve for the future.
YEAR IN REVIEW
In December 2018, we had 597 patrons, and we're overjoyed to say that as of today (December 6, 2019), there are a full 851 of you! We cannot stress enough how floored we are at your continued and growing support for us. Thank you all so much!

- Our most popular posts this past year all revolved around Game of Thrones, Season 8 with solicitations for questions being our most-commented posts and our Thrones Review episodes having the highest number of listens
- We created a NotASlack for our small council and high lords and ladies patrons. There are now 99(!) of you in the slack. We invite you all to become a small council or high lord/lady patron to join us there!

As we move towards the year 2020, we wanted to pause and ask you all how you think we're doing and what improvements we can make for our patreon? Think of yourselves as the producers of the NotACast pod-cast. How can we improve going forward? What features do you want to see? What patreon features are you not a fan of?

While I also like the synopsis sections, occasionally I finish a chapter and jump directly into the podcast, so the rehashing of the chapter isn't completely necessary- so I second the timestamp in the show notes or description.

I’ve loved your analysis over the past couple years; it’s really given me a deeper appreciation for a series I’d already fallen in love with. What I’d like most is more of you analysis but in different contexts. Emmett, I’d like to hear more of your opinion of/recommendations for other literature; especially fantasy/sci-fi series and authors but not limited to those genres. Jeff, I’d like to know more about your interpretation of historical events; military and otherwise. Thanks for the great content!

Okay! So, great questions so far. MERCH: Yes, it has been promised. Yes. It is still on its way. After talking to our friend Sanrixian, we are awaiting some designs back from her. Once we've received them, we'll put them all up for a vote for our Sworn Sword and higher patrons. Once a winner is selected, merch will be available -- possibly through patreon as they just released that feature. Stay tuned! TWOW: It's impossible to say if the book is coming next year. It's always next week or the week after that. In the event this occurs, our plan is that we'll do an IMMEDIATE LIVECAST on youtube so we can celebrate as a community. We'll also have special episodes leading up to the book's publication, and we will definitely have episodes giving first impressions and some detailed analyses of the book (all the while retaining our chapter by chapter focus).
