[EN]SHOWTIMExMONSTERS 2 Dev Letter [vol.55]
🕑 Added 2024-05-20 09:02:22 +0000 UTCHello, I'm Satoh.
The cherry blossoms have fallen and lush greenery has sprouted.
Temperatures are rising, and I feel the end of winter and a hint of summer.
I continue to work on updates while enjoying the refreshing early summer.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
I was able to finish drawing all the illustrations needed for the defeat scenes.
This time, I also made differences for each partner, which took quite a bit of time and effort as I had expected,
but I was able to add more fun when each partner was chosen, and I am satisfied with the result.
I was also considering whether or not to include a defeat scene at the time of release, but in that case,
I would have had to complete the defeat scene in a shorter period of time, so I feel that I made the right choice by taking my time and adding it in the update.
I am currently working on the illustrations needed for the master-disciple scenes for each partner character that I mentioned in my last letter.
It has been a while since I drew the partners from the former game, so I am able to work on them with a fresh mind.
It will take me a while to finish drawing all of them,
but I would like to work on them so that I can express their cuteness and personalities and make the scenes unique.
Once that is done, I will put the illustrations into the game, write the text and dialogue, and move on to complete the scene.
Once the scene is complete, I will ask the translators to translate it, while I will start working on updates to the game, such as additional special battles.
This time, with sincere gratitude for you, supporters,
I drew two "Sprouting of Fresh Green"-themed special illustrations for you.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This is Killer Mantis from Monsters of the Forest.
A mantis monster protecting his favorite flower garden, he is perfect for this season.
I made the red petals dance to match the image of the skill added from 2.
Due in part to the influence of the powerful dual wielding, back in the days of 1, this monster was the one you could comfortably play the game with.
I think there are many players who loved it.
In the second game as well, if you reinforce his accuracy with friends and equipment, he is a reliable monster that can be used with its high firepower.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This is Alligator, also from the Forest Monster.
He is the first symbol monster encountered in 2.
He has a bold design, with a crocodile-skin coat and a collar that resembles a crocodile's head.
Despite his evil appearance, he is a contradiction, as he actually likes cute things.
It is hard to see in the game because it is shrunken down, but he loves to wear undies with a cute crocodile pattern on it.
Since this monster has the unique ability to automatically attack enemies who are affected by status ailments,
I think you will enjoy an unusual tactic if you combine it with other jammer monsters.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
That's all for this letter.
I'll post vol.56 on around 2024/6/20.
I was able to finish the illustration of the defeat scene and am steadily approaching the completion of the update.
It may take some more time, but I am sure that I will be able to add a lot of CG and scenes to the update, so I will do my best to deliver it safely and steadily.
The temperatures are going to be very different this season, so please take care of yourselves and enjoy this season of greenery.
