[EN]SHOWTIMExMONSTERS 2 Dev Letter [vol.53]
🕑 Added 2024-03-20 09:05:04 +0000 UTCHello, I'm Satoh.
It will soon be April, but the weather is still chilly.
It seems that the long virus disaster is over and we will be able to greet spring peacefully this year.
Every day I look forward to the warm spring sunshine.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
I continue to work on the illustration of the defeat scenes.
Currently, I have completed up to the third boss, and I am about to start drawing the fourth one.
As I mentioned before, I am also drawing variations for each partner, so it is taking much longer than usual,
but I will continue to work on it carefully so that I can express the character of each boss and make it a good scene.
As you may have already seen, I have been working on seasonal illustrations
such as Christmas, New Year, and Valentine's Day.
As with the first game, I plan to gradually incorporate these illustrations into the game as dream scenes.
I am going to augment the illustrations of the monsters with those additions and add content to make the game more complete.
I am pleased to introduce you to defeated illustrations and to offer you a special illustration.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Here is an illustration of the defeat against Oberon.
It is from when Reo was the partner, but the Reo part changes for each partner chosen.
Please look forward to seeing how it will turn out after this.
This is an illustration of the defeat against Kraken.
The boss is characterized by undulating tentacles, so I drew it as if they were entangled by those tentacles.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This time, with sincere gratitude for you, supporters,
I drew a "Early Spring 2024"-themed special illustration for you.
This is Honey Bee from Bee Monsters.
Spring is approaching, and it is the season for bees to begin their vigorous activities.
Honey Bee is good at collecting honey, so I drizzled plenty of sweet honey on him.
In SxM2, along with the addition of King Bee, I added a honey system that was not in the previous game.
The worker bees collect honey and offer it to the king, who uses it to fight successfully.
Compared to the previous game, I believe that SxM2 offers a more bee-like fighting experience.
Please try a party made up entirely of bees.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
That's all for this letter.
I'll post vol.54 on around 2024/4/20.
I will need to concentrate on working on the defeat scene illustrations for a while yet.
At the same time, I would like to develop ideas for other updates.
It is frustrating because things that require illustrations inevitably take time,
but I will patiently complete them one by one and do my best to deliver a good update to you all.
The cold weather is likely to continue, so please stay warm.
