[EN]SHOWTIMExMONSTERS 2 Dev Letter [vol.51]
🕑 Added 2024-01-20 09:01:44 +0000 UTCHello, I'm Satoh.
It looks like another month of 2024 is quickly approaching.
I hope to make this year a solid year of updates
so that I can improve on the work I was able to launch last year.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
I was recently able to implement the 1.03 update that I have been working on since late last year.
I believe I have now fixed the main bugs that had been found.
I also did a lot of balancing and enhanced some skills that were a bit weak.
As for useful features, one is the addition of an dictionary where you can see a list of potential skills of the monsters you made friends with.
This can be viewed from NG+, so please try to make it useful for party composition.
The game is balanced so that there are no problems even if you don't make use of the buddy system,
but if you use it well, you can make your favorite monsters more active and fight with different tactics.
Another additional feature is that the costume you select on the equip screen is previewed.
The new feature makes it easier to compare clothes, undies,
and decorations while changing outfits.
As a minor change, the number of slots in the favorite member set has been doubled to 16.
This is in response to requests for more combinations to be stored since the number of monsters has increased with 2.
In addition, when you take over your monsters, your current favorite member set will also be taken over.
It is now easier to try out different combinations.
Major contents additions will still take time, but I consider it important for a game to be comfortable to play,
I will continue to be flexible in improving playability and fixing bugs.
I have also started to put together some ideas for defeat scenes, so I would like to work on those as well.
This time, with sincere gratitude for you, supporters,
I drew two "New Year 2024 Special"-themed special illustrations for you.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This is Zashiki Warashi from Japanese Monster.
I drew this auspicious monster to wish you a happy year.
Zashiki Warashi is a Japanese yokai that brings good luck to the houses he inhabits.
He is a very innocent, cute and good-natured yokai, which is rare among the terrifying yokai.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This is Owl Ranger, a monster from the fairy forest.
Owls are very popular as ornaments in Japan as they are very lucky animals.
I made the large patterns around the eyes look like glasses and dressed him in a fluffy silhouette.
As it becomes more wrecked, it shows a different silhouette, making it a monster that is twice as tasty.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
That's all for this letter.
I'll post vol.52 on around 2024/2/20.
During the last year, I have been working as hard as I could to launch the game,
but this year I intend to engage in solid production activities, mainly working on updating the game.
I would also like to make this year a year to enhance my creativity while gaining more and more input by enjoying a variety of works for the next project.
Once again, thank you for your support this year!
