[EN]SHOWTIMExMONSTERS 2 Dev Letter [vol.42]
🕑 Added 2023-04-20 09:01:47 +0000 UTCHello, I'm Satoh.
Spring is in full bloom in Japan. The cherry blossoms, which bloomed a little earlier than usual, have already fallen and the trees are turning pale green.
This is already the fourth spring since I started the development of 2.
The new virus that has been going around for the past few years has calmed down a bit, and the world is starting to return to normalcy little by little.
I hope that peace will return to the world and I will continue to work hard until the completion of the game.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
About the title change of the work
As announced on the "pixiv" page, I have decided to change the title of my works to "SHOWTIMExMONSTERS".
This is to avoid direct expression in light of the recent situation.
It is a little sad to change the title that I have been using for a long time, but I would like to respond flexibly to changes in the situation
so that I can continue my production activities for a long time and continue to deliver good works to you.
Once again, thank you very much for your continued support.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
I have been working on the protagonist's costumes for a long time now, and I have managed to finish that work.
There are now 90 costumes and nearly 100 types of decorative equipment. And I have prepared more than 180 types of underwear.
The range of fashion is much wider than in the former game, so I hope that players will be able to choose their favorites, from hats to underwear, and enjoy their adventures.
Right now I am working on a painting of a scene similar to the hot springs in the former game.
This one is also opened in the middle of the game, and as in the former game,
in addition to the protagonist and the main characters, random monsters come to take a bath.
So, now I am filling in the leftover images one by one.
Once I finish drawing all the necessary images,
I will finally be able to start test play, so for now I will work patiently on the painting.
In this letter, I would like to introduce two new monsters.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This is one of the new monsters, Alligator.
As the name suggests, this monster is based on an alligator, with a collar that looks like an alligator's head.
I tried to make him colorful while giving him a costume with a texture like alligator leather.
Here is another one of the new monsters, Merman Navigator.
He is a member of the Merman pirates and a navigator who controls a water compass.
A magician who uses water elemental offensive and supportive magic.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This time, with sincere gratitude for you, supporters,
I drew a "Spring Green Special"-themed special illustration for you.
This is Goblin Leader from Goblin Monsters.
Green and lush spring is a happy season for goblins living in the forest.
Goblin Leader is the leader of the goblins and has a strong body and a wealth of knowledge.
He not only trains the goblins in combat, but also teaches them various knowledge, sews for them, makes their clothes, and even cuts their hair.
He is loved and adored by all the goblins.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
That's all for this letter.
I'll post vol.43 on around 2023/5/20.
Feeling the warmth of spring, I am patiently painting the necessary pictures.
When the end is in sight, I feel distracted and want to complete it as soon as possible,
but I will take my time and maintain the same pace as before.
I hope everyone will take good care of themselves and enjoy the new season.

hello satoh san, I'm really very happy with your progress and really happy to see your talent flourish more and more, it's impressive the work accomplished and it's really pleasant both for your fans and for all the artists, I sincerely hope that you are not too tired and that you are taking care of yourself, personally this newsletter was pleasant a new wind, I love the (Merman Navigator) very cute, here it is, otherwise very eager to play and I don't think I'm the only one, take care of yourself and thank you.

I'm very excited to hear that there will be another hot springs type scene! I loved healing there in the first game, but I imagine Nauta was upset with me for ogling boys at the hot springs instead of eating his handmade meals at the inn. Sorry, Nauta! Also, 100 decorative accessories!? I feel bad because if there's a cowboy hat, I'm never ever taking it off. It's in my blood as a westerner. The name change is understandable. Although it doesn't feel good to have to change something due to outside circumstances, I hope the name change can relieve stress for you in the future. Thank you for your diligent work as always!

Thank you! I'm glad to hear you like them. Yea, it's a little sad that I had to change the title, but I'll keep working on making the game from now on too.
