[EN]SHOWTIMExMONSTERS 2 Dev Letter [vol.33]
🕑 Added 2022-07-20 09:08:40 +0000 UTCHello, I'm Satoh.
The rainy season is over in Japan and summer is in full swing.
This year, the rainy season is very short, and it has been extremely hot from quite early on.
I have the impression that we have been experiencing abnormal weather recently, perhaps due to global warming.
I continue to work while feeling the beginning of midsummer.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This month, after finishing balancing the 5th stratum monsters, I spent some time designing a new mini-game.
In my last letter, I mentioned that I would start on the final stratum first,
but since I need time to have the programmer implement the mini-game that I designed,
I decided that it would be better to finish that first.
In 2, there will be a total of three mini-games, including the previously introduced undressing breakout (Dev Letter vol.25),
which can be played freely at the amusement arcade in town, independent of the main game.
I hope it gives a change of pace between adventures into the stratums.
This mini-game is also very elaborate, so it took a lot of time to define the graphics and specifications,
but it is always exciting for me to have the programmer take what I have imagined and give it shape.
I look forward to seeing the finished mini-game implemented in the game.
I will introduce this mini-game in the letter as soon as it takes shape.
I have finished creating the UI and writing the specifications for the mini-game, and now I am starting to design the monsters for the final stratum.
It looks like it will be monster design time for a while,
but there are only a limited number of monsters that will appear in 2, so I will do my best to draw them well.
This time, I'd like to introduce two of the main characters' costumes and a new monster.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Continuing from the previous letter, I would like to introduce you to the monster costumes of Toma and Ios.
This is Toma's monster costume.
I chose a classy-looking puppeteer costume for Toma.
The costume has a gothic and horror atmosphere, but when Toma wears it, it looks lively and fun.
This is a monster costume for Ios.
I chose the gorgeous-looking Michael costume for Ios.
The wings are mini-sized, but I think the battle suit with a sci-fi feel suits him moderately well.
This is one of the new monsters, Shell Shelter.
He is a shell monster, a defensive type monster protected by a robust shell.
It has a cool, summery look.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This time, with sincere gratitude for you, supporters,
I drew a "Demonic heat wave Special"-themed special illustration for you.
From the demon monsters, this is Demon.
He is a very energetic monster who uses darkness and fire.
Demon is a monster designed with the image of an devious little devil,
and is characterized by an asymmetrical costume with open sides.
In terms of ability, it is very unwieldy and twisted,
as it strengthens its own flame attribute while also strengthening the flame resistance of its opponents.
He is a cynical monster, but in reality, he is an adorable monster who loves his tamer.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
That's all for this letter.
I'll post vol.34 on around 2022/8/20.
Half of this year has passed in the blink of an eye,
but I have continued to work steadily and am steadily accumulating results.
It is going to be extremely hot, so I would like to maintain the pace of production this summer while taking care of my health.
Please take care of your health as well.

Woohoo! Another month passed by in the blink of an eye! Every time I see a new letter, that realization kicks in. I am so excited to hear about another mini game being implemented and am super excited to see what it is. The new outfits look great and seem to suit the main characters very well... and the new Monster looks so cute! very "summer fun" vibes. Demon is so adorable and just like he loves his tamer, we love him too!! I hope you are keeping your own health in check, and please take breaks as you need to, im sure your fanbase will all understand! <3
