[EN]SHOWTIMExMONSTERS 2 Dev Letter [vol.14]
🕑 Added 2020-12-20 09:04:42 +0000 UTCHello, I'm Satoh.
Winter is finally here, and Christmas will soon be upon us.
This year has been a truly chaotic one, with the new virus running rampant around the world.
Seeing this kind of situation reminds me of how grateful I am for the peace of everyday life.
And now, this is the last development letter of this year.
I would like to thank all of you who have supported me over this past year.
With your support and encouragement, SxM2 is slowly but steadily making its way toward completion.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
The second stratum has been completed and now I am working on the design of the third stratum's monsters.
With the help of the programmer, I was able to implement most of the new systems needed for the game.
In the first game, I wrote new scripts and also modified the script resources to include the necessary features on my own,
But I don't have the skills to create something complicated from scratch,
So I'm very grateful that I was able to have him realize what I had in mind for this game.
With new game systems, new monsters, new dungeons, and new characters,
I will continue to work on this game to bring you an even more powerful game experience.
In this letter, I'll introduce you the new underwear cards and one of the new monsters.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
These are underwear cards for the underwear vending machine in SxM2.
In the first game, the buttocks were not visible, so the loincloths and jockstraps etc could only express half of their attractions,
but this time I decided to draw the buttocks in addition to the front so that you can enjoy them to the fullest.
This is one of the new monsters, Black Cat.
As his name suggests, he is a monster that looks like a black cat wizard.
He has the whimsical and mischievous atmosphere of a cat.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This time, with sincere gratitude for you, supporters,
I drew a "Christmas 2020"-themed special illustration for you.
Here's Snowman from the Ice Monsters.
He is the perfect monster for the winter mood.
He is a kind of snow spirit, and he can protect himself by covering himself with snow or attacking by blowing snow.
He's a monster that is suspected of being an exposure fanatic because he looks happy when he's naked.
Since he loves to surprise people, he sometimes enjoys mimicking a snowman and surprising passing tamers.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
That's all for this letter.
I'll post vol.15 on around 2021/1/20.
The year 2020 is almost over, please stay warm and healthy.
Thank you so much for your warm support this year. I will continue to work hard on the game.
Happy holidays and best wishes for next year!

Thank you! I'm working hard to make it even better than SxM1. And yeah, I'm always focusing on the game balance, gameplay to make it wonderful JRPG :)
Fantastic to hear that you're wrapping up the second stratum and moving to the third! And now having a full-on programmer on-board will help the process go a lot more smoothly in terms of design-to-gameplay flow. Hopefully we'll be able to see a SxM 2 sometime soon! Love to see the introduction of new underwear art as well, but above all else I'm really excited for the gameplay as I loved SxM 1 primarily for its gameplay, and good to see there have so many cool expansions to the SxM 1 system! Thank you for your hard work, and hope you keep good, physical health!

Thank you and Merry Christmas! I'm glad to hear you like the new functions. In SxM2, I hope you can enjoy the underwear vending machine more than that of SxM1. And thank you for loving the new characters. (it's okay to draw them, thank you.) Best wishes for next year!

Satoh-san, Thanks for all these updates and for the hard work you are putting into the project (glad you found someone to assist you in your work). I've enjoyed the 1st game a lot and surely looking forward to the second one. The new additions are really nice. Especially, this latest one for underwear. It's something I wished it was in the 1st game and glad to see it make its way to the 2nd one. The new main cast looking lovely, but Toma & Reo currently holding high spot for me. (would love to make fanart for one or both of them. but only with your permission). Looking forward to the update next year & Merry Christmas to you!

Thank you and Merry Christmas! I'm glad to hear you like the new underwear pics and enjoyed collecting undies in SxM1. I'll keep working on the game and the dev letter next year too. Please look forward to see them. Best wishes for next year!
The new pose for the underwear seems very enticing and the back view is a welcome addition. Even the basic underwear look great! I had a lot of fun collecting the various underwear in SxM1, although I still didn't get them all. I always felt Snowman seemed a little too happy to be losing that snow. Now I know why he is so eager to fight. It's still a little too soon, but a Merry Christmas to you, Satoh! I hope next year's updates will be just as fun to read.
