[EN]SHOWTIMExMONSTERS 2 Dev Letter [vol.12]
🕑 Added 2020-10-20 09:03:15 +0000 UTCHello, I'm Satoh.
Thank you for all your support. I am truly grateful for your warm support.
Time has flown by and it's been a year since I published Dev Letter vol.1.
Many things have happened this year, so I felt it went by faster than usual.
Nevertheless, I've been patiently continuing to work on the game every day, and I feel that the results are steadily building up.
I wasn't sure if I would be able to make it through the monthly letter submissions or not,
but thanks to your support over the past year, I have been able to continue to work on the game with great encouragement.
I still have a long way to go, but I would like to thank you for your continued support.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
I've been working on drawing illustrations of the event scenes and making the maps for the second stratum.
The map making has been taking longer than I thought it would,
but I'm making full use of the map-making techniques I've learned so far, and I'm doing my best to make it satisfactory.
It's hard work, but once I focus on it, I can spend hours assembling it, just like the LEGO bricks I used to play with when I was a kid.
Once those two things are done, I'll set up enemy/ally data for the new monsters, create skills, place events and create conversation scenes, create event scenes,
create the items for the second stratum, and after everything is assembled, I'll have to do a lot of playtesting to balance.
So, once the illustrations, maps, and other image resources are finished, I'll move on to the numbers and text part.
I'm working on both in parallel to a certain degree, but basically I'm trying to finish the images first.
In this letter, I'll introduce you the swimsuits of the protagonist and Ios, and also one of the new monsters.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This is the protagonist's swimsuit.
This is one of the costumes that you can change, but this time, the other main characters are given swimwear costumes as well.
So I drew the protagonist in a regular swimsuit, too.
This is Ios in his swimsuit.
He is wearing a rash guard jacket and swimwear.
As I wanted to make the characters in the conversation scene to be in swimwear in the sea stratum, I gave them swimsuits.
The main characters are going to fight with you in their swimsuit during Linkage.
This is one of the new monsters, Black Bat.
He's a character that's kind of like the younger brother of the vampire that appeared in the previous game.
His costume have a similar design to him.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This time, with sincere gratitude for you, supporters,
I drew a "Autumn Sports"-themed special illustration for you.
This is Research Ant, from the Ant Monsters.
He's a monster who loves books and studying.
He's teaching his fellow ants what he's learned from reading various books.
You can also see them in the hot springs.
He seems to be learning about a wide range of things, from battles to sexually explicit things.
(Non glasses version)
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
That's all for this letter.
I'll post vol.13 on around 2020/11/20.
I'll be entering the second year of making SxM2, but I will continue to make it with the same enthusiasm and perseverance every day.
I appreciate all of your continuous support.
It's full-blown autumn and the temperature is dropping, so please take care of yourself.

Thank you as always! Yea, we are in a very hard time now. And I'm also sure we will be able to get over this. I'll keep working on the game. I hope all of you can enjoy SxM2 in the blight future :)
Thank you for another update! I have mentioned this before, but I really enjoy reading these, and seeing your artwork of course. The past year has been like a blur. It's difficult to imagine the way things were a year ago now. If we all keep our spirits up, I'm sure we can pull through this. Take care!
