[EN]SHOWTIMExMONSTERS 2 Dev Letter [vol.4]
🕑 Added 2020-02-20 09:23:02 +0000 UTCHello, I'm Satoh.
Thank you for your continuous support!
Time files. One month has already passed this year.
I'll keep working on the game at my own pace and complete it for sure.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
These days, I'm working on the new protagonist's classes, as well as drawing monsters and game systems.
Basically in my game making, I complete each stratum's map/ monsters/ events.
The protagonist's classes affects all the game balances, so I'm working on it at the beginning.
I'll make the basic 4 classes similar to the former game's ones.(Attacker/Magician/Healer/Defender)
I thought about making the professions completely different, but for the sake of those playing this one first,
I decided to make the classes basic to make it easy to understand them.
Some of the skills of SxM behave tricky in the system,
It takes more time than I thought to make skill set and skills.
I made around 1000 skills in the former one. There will be more than 2000 in the sequel.
In this letter, I'll introduce 2 class costumes of the protagonist and 1 new monster.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This is his Attacker class. (class name might be changed in the future.)
He is lighter than "Warrior" in the former one. I added some oriental motif to it's design.
The same as the former one, it will be a class which is good at using all types of weapons
This one is Healer class.
"Cleric" of the former one is more like a doctor, though this one has more SF taste.
It's characterized by the device in the left arm.
He is one of the new monsters "Lamp Flower".
He is a flower monster who grows in the night forest.
I put some gothic fashion cuteness with his big petal clothes.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This time, with sincere gratitude for you, supporters,
I drew a Valentine's Day-themed special illustration for you.
Coffee Sugar, from the Sweets Monsters, with a cup of sweet coffee.
A boy in a cup of coffee is an easter egg of certain game which I love.
There's a girl in a cup of tea in that game.
Generally a cup of black cofee is a drink for an adult. Though I put some sugar to make it cute.
As the cup breaks down, the amount of coffee decreases and his body becomes visible. I like that gimmick.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
That's all for this letter.
I'll post vol.4 on around 2020/3/20.
To be honest, I was afraid whether I could work on the game while I post dev letter every month.
Though I'm reassured with your support and can work on it now.
Making an RPG is really time-consuming, so I have some frustrations that I can't let you enjoy the completed product, but I'll keep making it steadily.
Again, thank you for your support.
As a virus is going around the world these days, please take care of yourself.

yea, I also like the idea of his breaking :) It's one of the interesting part to think how the monsters' clothes will be broken.
I like how coffee sugar becomes exposed, and his pose shown here is adorable. He is also fun to have in the current game with only a small amount of coffee remaining. I've just come across angels in the fifth stratum and they are a joy.

Yea, I want to give him at least 4 base class and 4 extra class as the same to the first game.
So will you be adding in new classes possibly as time goes on, like you did for SxM?
I agree too! I personally felt that Cleric was a very good class- and I'm happy to see that it is coming back looking even better than before!

Haha, thank you! I wanted to put a little lewd costume. Yes, a lot of undies for the new protagonist will be in the sequel too.

The new priest's costume is sooo kinky, it makes me want to lift it up just to see what is under there!! Are you making a new underwear gallery as well? It was really difficult to complete the first one, as a matter of fact, I'm still missing one pair of underwear! T.T

Thank you Jack. I'm glad to hear it :) yea, I think comprehensibility is very important for a game. I want to make it easy to understand and deep strategy.
Thanks! I'm loving these previews, the class designs look really cute, I like the blue red scheme. I think it's smart to keep the basic classes similar to the previous game just for the sake of easing people into the new one. Then you can get really creative with the advanced classes. And as always more cute monster designs! I love the Lamp Flowers eyes! Thanks for all the hard work, ill look forward to next months!
