[EN]SHOWTIMExMONSTERS 2 Dev Letter [vol.1]
🕑 Added 2019-11-20 10:32:36 +0000 UTCHi, I'm Satoh.
Thank you very much for your support!
I'm very happy that so many people are supporting me.
This is the logotype for "SHOWTIMExMONSTERS 2".
I used blue and red mainly to put some refreshing impression,
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
As I'm in the early stage of making the game, I'm currently thinking about the rough outline.
How many dungeons will be there? How many monsters in each dungeon?
How many total monsters? and what kind of event scenes? for example.
I think it's an important process as it's easier to make once you have an outline.
It's like drawing an illustration. (where I draw rough sketch first.)
Also, I'm collecting / purchasing tilesets, icons, and other resources.
I like to imagine what kinds of dungeon I can make with them.
About the battle system, I'm working on ideas to expand the variaty of skills.
This time, I have a programmer friend to help me, so I'll be able to put more complicated functions in the game.
I'll introduce those new systems in a letter later on.
At the same time, I'm working on drawing new main characters.
I'm introducing the new protagonist and one of the main characters of "SHOWTIMExMONSTERS 2" in this letter.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
He is the protagonist of "SHOWTIMExMONSTERS 2"
His default name will be "Jin".
The same to the logotype, Blue and red is his theme color .
He is one of the new main characters. I still can't say his name.
Orange, yellow, green is his theme color. He wears a skin-tight suit with a robe over it.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
This time, with sincere gratitude for you, supporters,
I drew halloween themed special illustration for you.
Vampire, one of the Halloween Monsters.
He goes on a misbehavior spreer on Halloween.
His design is based on the picture I had drawn before I made SHOWTIMExMONSTERS.

(You can see it there.)
Generally, our image of vampires are pale skin and silver/black hair.
However, I thought it would be interesting to design a naughty vampire with tanned skin.
I like the detail of his boots (coffin on the soles), and his mantle, too.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
That's all of this letter (vol.1).
There are plenty more Dev Letters to come, but if I show you too much, it will reduce the novelty when you play the game.
I'll show you the new informations little by little, without any major spoilers.
Once again, thank you very much for supporting me.
Your support cheers me, and it's more fun now that I'm not working on the sequel alone.
I'll post the next dev letter (vol.2) next month.
I would be grateful for your continued support.

Thank you, I'm glad you like the new protagonist. Yes, it will be the one which appears in the game. I think it's because his pose is similar to Syu. (I didn't change it very much because this pose is good for changing costumes)
Solid dev letter. I like the format. I also like Jin and his outfit a lot, but is that the final thing? I can't help but notice its a copy of Syu with a few tweaks. Thanks for the update!

Thank you for enjoying them. I'll be able to show you more new characters next month :)
Great, like everything I’ve seen so far. Also, lovely drawing of the vampire. Look forward to what’s coming in the future. Keep up the good work.
