Map Set 21 Gold
🕑 Added 2022-06-17 09:02:59 +0000 UTCHere's our newest map set with 2 new maps!
The first map Cliffside Sanctuary, a temple surrounded on three sides by high cliffs casting deep shadows over the terrain. Services are held at all times of the day in the central hall, rotating between the various deities that are worshipped here. Several of the more popular gods have permanent shrines located before the large hall where the devout may lay offerings as tribute. Furthermore there is a school house that provides religious teachings as well as some more general education. To the west is a meeting room and small library where most of the liturgical knowledge is stored.
Encounter Ideas:
- Unholy Infestation - All sorts of ghosts, wraiths, and poltergeists have taken over the sanctuary and scared off the parishioners. The usual holy protections have failed and it's up to the adventurers to figure out how.
- A New God - Worshippers of a new god have petitioned to have a worship service in the main hall but all the slots have been taken. The adventurers must convince another service to swap out for the new one, or maybe even convince the temple to allow a new shrine.
- Last Stand - A large band of cultists see the sanctuary as an abomination and wish to see it destroyed. How long can the adventurers hold them off before help arrives? Will the gods intervene?
The second map is Club Rathanax, the hippest club in the Underdark, managed by the infamous promoter Rathanax, sister of a powerful mob boss. Every night bards from across the land come to entertain revelers from the stage before the largest dance floor in the kingdom. The outer rooms provide a variety of themed entertainment, counterclockwise from the bottom left: a wedding suite, paralyzation therapy, nightmare dining, slow service, enervation stations, telekinetic target practice, deep sleep, petrified pantries, disintegration toss and dirt napping.
Encounter ideas:
- Dance Till You Drop - See how long the adventurers can keep dancing before running out of steam. They can use magic and subterfuge to their benefit, but so can their opponents.
- Cleanup Duty - Some of the outer rooms can be somewhat dangerous to clean so Rathanax occasionally hires adventurers to take care of the matter to make room for guests.
- The Replacements - The scheduled bards have failed to arrive and Rathanax is convinced the adventurers can provide ample entertainment in the bards' stead. They must provide a satisfactory performance or face Rathanax's wrath.
Includes:
