new video! testing cursed fuse-less fireworks from the 1940s
🕑 Added 2024-11-06 22:33:58 +0000 UTCin this video i test some old "torpedo" fireworks which are basically shock sensitive m80s. I found these in the junk I inherited from my grandpa when he passed away, although he did actually give me some when he was still around. Enjoy!
I'm hoping to make more quick videos like this between big projects. The plan is to repurpose my shorts channel for this kind of content.

Omg, shooting those things out of the slingshot was sketchy af. I was cringing watching it. I used to shoot painballs out of one of those as a kid, and it was not uncommon for something to go wrong and have the ball break on yoke. At least wear some goggles! Still a cool video though.

Rather than a slingshot I was thinking of a tube with a compressor tank launching these beauties but then would that bring the guys with the flip down badges, maybe. I do recall the old sparklers and that we would bundle them together with wire for a more pronounced sparkle.
