As a Chinese, I’d just like to randomly share some knowledge haha. The flying elements in their kung fu are called ‘轻功’, I didn’t find translations to the word. But basically, it’s done through the control of ‘qi’, which is something like how you control the passage of air in your body (I don’t know how to explain the concept). It does exist, in which there are existing masters that can jump 4M high walls and run 2km routes with only 10 mins without being tired and light on their feet. But of course, it is GREATLY exaggerated in the show. This ‘qi’ is basically the origin of all the fantasy elements you see, including the ‘flying’, the fights, the warming of wine and how they help one another heal by transmitting qi through their back. That is quite normal for us though, because our historical shows usually portray masterful kung fu in this way😂 So it might seem weird to first time watchers, but its indeed very normal for all Chinese haha
