Snake Girl Collection preview!

well now the color is missing but I just finished the last drawing, in the meantime I will send these pinups to Gianluca for updates. This time I wanted to try to do them all together, not one at a time, because I want to give you 4 pinups all together as rewards for this month!
How I envy the artists who say "I had a lot of fun doing it!" because I try a lot of things but not the fun ahah ...at least until I'm done and I'm super happy then, when I finish I'm always at a party! Not during...ahah! I'm too focused and nervous to have fun. But I enjoy hand-coloring with markers, that's for sure!
Well let's put it this way, maybe my creative process is different from others. When I write a theme for a pinup collection, the theme comes first (in a very unconscious way) and it's really cool ( I love the IDEA!) but there's no idea of the drawing, those then come AFTER....gasp!
And I'm already getting anxious because I think "Ok, the girls will be this and that character, but now... how do I do them?" My concern is not to copy ideas already developed, it's very difficult to do something that someone hasn't already done, a pose, a costume... so it's really tragic for me to exclude so many solutions because I think they could have already been seen. However, I'm really satisfied with the final result!
The 4 snake girls are Eve (with a python-type snake) Medusa (with small snakes like vipers) Cleopatra (with a Cobra) and a Slytherin (with a baby Basilisk).
They are all part of the series myths, magic and religion... (what a mess!)
In fact, although Cleopatra really existed (I can't guarantee Eve LOL) I didn't associate her with the viper with which she committed suicide, but a cobra as it is part of the sacred animals of ancient Egypt, linked to worship, power and fortune: the URAEUS.
But enough spoilers! Now I'm going to prepare the files for the updates, I just wanted to update you that I did it!
This is the year of the snake and I think I managed to create some tributes different from the others, also it is also my Chinese zodiac sign but I managed to avoid the Chinese zodiac theme because I would have ended up doing something already done by everyone ... like all the girls dressed as Chinese girls. Maye next time!

Oh! Cool! That was a blast from the past! I had almost forgotten about this. ^^" I'm not an artist, so I can't speak for others but darn, that does indeed sound like a stressful process! I can relate a bit to my writing, where I have the fun part where I'm brainstorming and coming up with ideas, laying them out, and thinking up specific scenarios. But when it comes time to actually write the thing, that is laborious, and the worst part is getting stuck at some point because you just can't get the words to sound right. However, being afraid of copying ideas is something I don't think you should be. Everything is a copy of a copy by this point, and as long as it's not a blatant rip-off I think it's fine. :) In writing we have "tropes" and "clichés" to practically differentiate between a "good" copy, and a "bad" copy. Some people just really, really want to see every single female character in a bunny suit at some point. :P Anyway, Excellent work, Vanessa! Nice job with getting the different kinds of snakes in there. :)

I know this must of been hard to draw with the creative mind coming with so many ideas for your girls. But I can assure you that your work will pay off since we (your patreons) will enjoy it still. ^o^ And just looking at the preview you shared with us, this is magnificent! <3

First of all, let me express my condolences about Nuvolino. You did what you could, and I believe you gave him a happy life. I truly respect everything you did for that cat, and I understand the pain. Cambiando argomento... Ho ancora bisogno di aiuto, e devo cercare il significato di ogni parola, insieme alla grammatica. Il vantaggio è che è abbastanza simile allo spagnolo, con un po’ d’inglese. Penso che tu sappia perché ti parlo in italiano, te l’ho detto nel commento all’ultima pagina del... ¿fumetto? 🤔, ma non so se l’hai letto. A proposito, bei disegni, si vedono bene.
