Yuder recalled the intimate moments he shared with Kishiar before heading out to sea. Though only a few days had passed, everything felt different between then and now.
Back then, they were facing a disaster with uncertain outcomes. It was a time when they learned new facts about the connection between them, and Yuder had to consider their first connection from his previous life, which he had deemed unnecessary to discuss in detail. It was a headache in many ways.
However, it was precisely because of such times that Yuder realized anew that he was the only one who could protect Kishiar, including all the emotions he concealed. Any pain seemed meaningless compared to that truth, which was almost like a law.
So, the ecstasy they experienced then was like Yuder grabbing Kishiar, who was trying to pull away, lifting him into his arms, and embracing him as if sinking. He tried to reveal everything within himself while holding the one who had protected him until now. Putting aside all shame and wringing out all the moisture in his body, he greedily indulged in the moment, knowing he might never return if things went wrong.
Perhaps the reason nothing felt unfamiliar when they sank endlessly into the sea together, holding hands, was that he had experienced the same sensation countless times when their bodies overlapped that day.
But now, unlike then, they had succeeded in changing the future once again, and as a reward, they gained leisure and peace. Therefore, their current lovemaking was nothing more than a process of reaffirming their victory. In other words, it was a sharing of joy that they had overcome countless life-threatening moments and finally won. A confirmation of reality. A sharing of the exhausting moments they couldn't tell anyone about. And lastly, it was a consolation.
"Ugh, hah. Uh. Ah...... Ah."
The connection that filled his belly moved endlessly like waves surging and receding. Each time, the sensation of his insides moving like sand swept by the waves, contracting and clinging madly, seemed to burn his brain. Yuder choked on the pleasure it gave him, moaning and constantly moving along the wounds left on the man's body.
When Yuder's body overlapped with Kishiar's, he sometimes felt like he was standing at a crossroads. One was a purely carnal act, immersed in lust without anything else intervening. The other was an act of sharing and swallowing numerous emotions and thoughts while immersed in them. Originally, he thought there was no meaning in the former kind of intercourse, but after his heat, he realized it wasn't bad either and often deliberately emptied his mind to focus solely on the pleasure itself.
However, this time was a lovemaking that perfectly belonged to the second path.
No matter where he touched with his hands - cheeks, forehead, shoulders, back, thighs - he could feel the thin ridges and scabs, tickling his skin. As he parted his wet lips to cover and suck on the wound on Kishiar's shoulder, the taut muscles tensed even more, and elastic breaths flowed out rapidly. At the same time, what had penetrated deeper and softer than before thrust powerfully to the end of his belly.
"Ah...!"
As Yuder threw his head back, Kishiar's fingers supported his neck, wrapping around it to prevent it from bending. The breath licking the pulse below his ear, damp with heat, should have been messy, but to Yuder, it felt like a priest praying while gazing at the altar.
Like shapeless waves, they too continued to change everything every time they blinked, without any fixed posture. What had been connected face to face was reversed in the next moment to an embracing posture. Then Kishiar would be pushed back and lie down with Yuder on top of him, thrusting his hips, and then... no one knew. Now, even such postures seemed to have no meaning.
Yuder had lost count of how many times he had climaxed. Each time his stretched opening clung and detached, the sticky, transparent fluid that had seeped from inside splashed and made a sound. Yuder gritted his teeth at the sensation of another wave of pleasure, arching his back and moaning long as the feeling of his thighs tightening. Kishiar instantly sucked in that honest sound, as if he couldn't bear the pleasant feeling.
Haa. As if constantly trying to confirm that they were breathing and alive, their hands and lips moved back and forth repeatedly. Even though they were gasping for breath more than when they were submerged deep in the sea, that movement that didn't stop the confirmation reminded Yuder of the word persistence rather than hunger or thirst.
At the last moment, Yuder released his scent for Kishiar. The scent that had already naturally flowed out enveloped Kishiar more thickly.
Kishiar's red eyes, which willingly accepted it and tried to embrace Yuder by releasing his own scent in return, were so dark they almost looked black. Kissing the trembling golden eyelashes, Yuder stared at the fantastical sight of a pile of golden threads connected between them, floating.
'Imprint...'
Behind Kishiar's back, whom he held in his arms, the threads undulated like high waves. Yuder felt the indescribably deep emotions and vivid pleasure Kishiar experienced flowing into him like a waterfall through them.
The emotions that poured in like water engraved many things anew on Yuder's empty interior, like a sandy beach, and drained away. Water may seem too weak to engrave anything because it has no fixed form. However, water is also something that can eventually pierce a hole even in a huge rock if it strikes repeatedly countless times.
So, wasn't it an accurate expression for Kishiar to call the moment when formless emotions like water overlapped and left marks countless times an imprint?
Thinking so, Yuder closed his trembling eyes in the face of a climax that burned his whole body like fire.
Through his closed eyes, the sea, cold and dark like death, completely flowed out...
Exactly two days. They spent time in the Commander's bedroom without anyone's interference until Lusan's condition improved and he returned to the Cavalry.
Externally, it was a period for recovery, not an official vacation, but what they did was almost the same as the vacation they had after completing all the missions in the West before.
Yuder lay on the bed or on top of Kishiar's body, wearing no clothes or roughly dressed, and ate the food Kishiar fed him. Kishiar also spent time holding Yuder, doing nothing, without a trace of his usual attitude of living a day as busy as others' several days.
Even then, books and swords couldn't come between them. Yuder gradually got used to falling asleep and waking up lying on top of Kishiar. He didn't mind getting aroused by the gentle caresses on his exposed back and thighs while he slept. Sometimes, even in that state, they had deep conversations about what had happened in the South.
The Cavalry's enthusiastic opponents they encountered as soon as they arrived in the South, the illegal fighting ring, the sudden hail day, and the terribly high waves and anomalous cracks. There were many things they had experienced. But Yuder didn't know he had so much to say about them.
Until now, he had been busy and had no time to properly reflect on what had happened, but talking about it retrospectively just because he wanted to, without worrying about any aftermath, gave him a rather new feeling.
It was completely different from reports or discussions. He spoke all the topics as they came to mind, sometimes honestly regretting the shortcomings or talking again about the people he had met someday.
When Yuder confessed about Elpkins' previous life, Kishiar honestly said he was glad. When Yuder was concerned about the inconvenience Kishiar must have experienced while being in the water for a long time, Yuder pondered and listed one by one the various and numerous ways he could utilize his abilities.
Sometimes they laughed while talking about the absurd guys they encountered at the illegal fighting ring, and while newly regretting the lacking parts of what they had done on the day of the hail, they suddenly gave cold evaluations to the deceased Duke Herne.
In other words, it was a chat that would be had at a tavern or such.
"...I thought there was nothing good about looking back, but it's strange."
"But doesn't it feel refreshing to talk about it?"
Yuder was silent for a moment and then nodded.
"Yes. ...I think so."
"It's good to have someone to talk to about anything. I'm even more glad that I can be one of them for you."
"Who else would I talk to about this besides you, Commander?"
"Oh my. The other members would be incredibly disappointed if they heard this."
