Monthly Monster Themes
🕑 Added 2021-02-10 23:56:50 +0000 UTCOur latest monster book was a smash hit (and for those of you who have BroadSword Subscriptions owed, you'll be getting a copy soon!). Since I've got more writers helping me these days, I figured I'd put out a few more monsters each day 2-3, for a grand total of 60 per month. Then, at the end of the month, in addition to collecting them in Buckler, I can release them in a book.
Having said all that, what should our first theme be? I've included a bunch of options below. Keep in mind, this will be the theme for monsters going for the next four weeks. Each theme will have a counter similar to 366 Days of Monsters (1/60, etc.)
Each month, I'll knock out one of these and then we'll vote again, widdling down to the final category. I've included options for terrain and type.

I'm mixing few of your adventures... I started with The Mices one to start lightly on their way to the North, then they took "The Chivalrous" and are currently entering "the Winter Wolf Den". I try to fuse those little one shots to have a proper campaign with good narrative links (I added few things here and there to link everything as for example Isobella from the Curfield tavern is an old friend of Captain Argus of the Chivalrous ^^). Thanks again for all this material that I'm really ejoying playing with/mixing :)

Candlekeep's a big honkin' place

Given that Rime is the current book you might be best placed to do Ice. Also bear in mind that candlekeep is coming out on March 17 [or thereabouts] and its on the coast. Three of the Adventures are already released and that might tip you off. I just know that the adventures start from books found in candlekeep but I suspect they wont all be based in candlekeep.

Absolutely! Imagine adding the Djinn! The possibilities are endless!

Always looking for more desert options. As for creature types, plants and oozes are sadly underrepresented. I really enjoy both.

I second this!
There's actually soo much you can do with desert, its hasn't got the love its deserved. Its easily my favorite terrain
Urban is more interesting “those who dwell among us “
