[366 Days of Monters] Days 175-176 - Romero Zombies
🕑 Added 2020-09-01 18:52:55 +0000 UTCThe typical Fifth Edition zombie is a slow-moving, mindless automaton controlled by a necromancer or its own insatiable desire to maim and kill. However, the zombies popularized by George Romero, The Walking Dead, and other zombie stories since the '70s and '80s are much less malicious—but just as horrific, if not even more so. A Romero zombie is a slow-moving creature driven by an intense hunger for living flesh. A creature bitten by a Romero zombie usually contracts a deadly virus that slowly kills it over the course of a few days.
Additionally, Romero zombies swarm. A swarm of zombies is a force of nature, capable of rending apart a fully grown human in a matter of seconds.
Undead Nature. The zombie does not require air, drink, or sleep.

Introducing Henceforth!
This month, as part of the Cosmic Horror theme, I'll be introducing a side ruleset for Zombie Apocalypse goodness in Fifth Edition. This will feature art by my pal Miska from Miska's Maps, new rules for zombies (see the attached PDF), and a whole new character class, Heroes of Horror. Stay tuned for more!

I've been running 5e for my kids for a year now, and my son (age 13) just expressed interest in playing a Zombie Survival game. I discovered your ZACs ruleset, became a Silver member to get it, and...I saw this. But we're almost at the end of October. Did I miss this? I can't find more on Henceforth other than this here...
