Thrown to the Wolves | New 5th-Level Adventure for Fifth Edition
🕑 Added 2020-07-18 19:25:23 +0000 UTCThrown to the Wolves is a Fifth Edition adventure for three to five characters of 5th to 7th level. It’s optimized for a party of four characters with an average party level of 5. The adventure is campaign agnostic, but can just as easily be placed into any campaign setting which includes werewolves, particularly those with a gothic horror slant. Characters who successfully complete the adventure and defeat all the encounters should earn enough experience to earn one-third of the experience required to reach 6th level.
Background
Secretly led by an intelligent loup-garou named Alice Mommsen, a bevvy of werewolves named Pack Giantfang makes life difficult for nearby villagers. They hunt the young, eat livestock, and spread terror across the land. The werewolves live in a natural cave system to the northeast of town. There, they lure unsuspecting prey to maim and devour. They do not share their lycanthropic curse, as Mommsen has no interest in expanding her pack. As long as Pack Giantfang remains, it’s impossible for local farmers to earn a living.

If you do not wish to become a DMDave member, you will need to substitute the final loup-garou encounter with three normal werewolves, one of which is Alice.

A loup-garou can transform into a full on Large dire wolf, a small to medium humanoid, or its true form which is a medium wolf-humanoid hybrid.

WHAt is the difference between the loup-garou and the regular werewolf? Is it similar to the difference between a wolf and a dire wolf?
