The Event - Hieronymus

His sister’s husband Hieronymus, was trying to set out on his own! Growing up sickly, he didn’t exactly have much in the name of skills to make his way. He also wasn’t the most book learned.
His eyes constantly sunken, and tired, Hieronymus’ wife and Brother in law wondered how he could possibly survive as a lumber worker. But that was his dream! Clearing massive patches of land, building a beautiful cabin and settling down with his wife, making a family and a name for himself!
It had been the better part of the year since he had moved out into those woods on the other side of the country. And Hieronymus’ wife was begging her brother to see if he was even still alive! The letters home stopped almost a year ago, and there’s no way to know what had happened.
The first letter arrived on his sister’s doorstep two weeks after he set out.
“Sister! I found him! And let’s just say, the weather here suits his temper! And how!! I found the cabin, completed and enormous in its majesty! You will definitely love it! But your husband… I would tell you to brace yourself, but I don’t think any amount of forewarning could prepare you adequately!
In the year since he left, he has grown. Lord, he has grown! Sister, he makes me look small! He took my hand in his, shaking it, and I swear, I thought he was going to pull my arm off! His biceps threaten the fabric of his shirt even while unflexed!
You will have to get making some new attire for him! What he has now is overstretched and fit to burst at a moment notice! I didn’t even think it was him, were it not for his eyes! I cannot fathom how I went from looking down at him too now training my neck upwards! He truly looks like one of Barnum‘s strong men! I watched him lift and then carry a recently felled tree with ease! And he navigates the forest, barefoot! With not even a scratch on his tremendous toes! Every muscle seems tense, and coiled as if ready to grow anew!
Gone is his sickly pallor! His new constitution thrive! Thick hair coursing over his frame as if he skinned a bear himself and wore its coat! Goodness it’s altogether remarkable!
You will have a wonderful time! We will have the money saved up in no time , and you’ll be ready to move! Be ready for my future correspondence!”
She was delighted, of course! Especially upon gazing at the crude caricature drawn by some artisan at the local bar. Stunned at the sheer tremendous size of her husband! She was on cloud nine until she received another correspondence a week later. It started:
“Dearest sister, Hieronymus is not what he seems…
I apologize for the sudden shock that initial introduction must have caused, but I cannot possibly explain what is going on here.
You see, I met your husband again! I was sleeping in the cabin when suddenly I heard light footsteps gracing the foyer. Upon descending the stairs, I noticed your husband! But as I remembered him! As you recall him! His sickly constitution first and foremost! Again, I had to look down at the man to make eye contact! The clothing he wore, looked brand new! And he seemed truly confused by my confusion!
I asked him where was the mountain of a man I had been working with for the last week! But he simply shrugged! Claiming I was the fool all along! But I recalled watching him lift two fully felled redwoods with ease! The scant lad before me could barely lift his arm to Pat my shoulder and tell me I was imagining things.
You know me! I am not one for flights of fancy! This makes no sense. Apologies dear sister, but something is afoot! I recalled the injury he received! That horse riding accident, where he received several stitches along the bottom of his hairline! When I checked, the scar was there! This is your husband, but… I do not know how.”
Another week passed, and Hieronymus’ wife received another letter.
“MADNESS. Madness. My own? I do not know. Is it the isolation? Am I ill of mind? Sister I am struggling to parse what’s real and what’s not. I had finished talking to Hieronymus in the morning, and by half noon, when I bumped into him again… He was… Different!
Again, his pale white skin was replaced with a truly healthy tan! His frail, weak body rejuvenated! Muscle tone, thickening! Pushing his baggy shirt open! I even remarked he looked larger, but he swore I was seeing things. I could still hear him cuss as one of his buttons popped off the front of his shirt! His chest growing fuller with muscle! I literally saw it grow sister!
He stopped, asking for help moving logs by the time the sun had started setting! Once again, hiking them over his shoulders! He was tremendous! Dare I say it he was even larger than the first time I had met him again! His shirt was at this point tied around his waist!
I could witness the thick ribbons of muscle snaking up and down his back , growing more dense with every activity! At one point, he gripped a log with his hand, and I watched his fingers thickening stretching around it until he could literally cycle the entire tree base with his single hand.
When we were done and well in the dark, he told me to go home that he would just be finishing up. But instead of walking towards the faint orange glow of the hearth, he turned into the woods, where I could see this… Cerulean gleam from deep within its bowels.
But then the very next day, he wasn’t there first thing in the morning. I met him shortly after lunch, once again somewhere between the colossus I had finished working with that night and the sickly gent I saw in the morning. I thought I was mad, until I noticed his shirt still missing the button from last night!
I was midway through scolding him, so confused by what I had seen, when I heard something!
I swore I could hear Hieronymus calling from the woods! Instantly the man in front of me started to breathe heavily! My hands squeezing his shirt, I could feel it growing tighter across his chest! I could hear his breathing growing deeper! I could feel the warmth of his breath on my knuckles as I held him in place slowly Rise and higher and higher until I looked back and stared at the square solid jaw of the goliath in front of me! The brute shoved me aside and walked into the woods! Watching him walking, taking off his shirt and pants, dearest sister I don’t mean to be indelicate, but the girth of his monstrous loins will never escape my mind. Swinging monstrously from side to side, it knocked over a sapling as bigger around as my wrist.
By the time I had returned to the house, Hieronymus was already there, once again, pale, thin, weak and small. He was mending a pair of pants and the shirts I had seen him wear just hours ago. I asked what he had gone into the forest for, and he looked at me confused!
I will get to the bottom of this sister. “
It took several weeks for another reply to arrive. In this one, the handwriting was even more manic and scrolled, as if instead of cautiously, writing it under candlelight, it was hastily scrawled in the dark.
“Dearest sister. I do not know how else to start this other than to say I have found the answers and they… They are…
I woke up in the middle of the night. My entire room was lit by the cerulean glow from the forest!
I could hear Hieronymus stirring downstairs, the door opening, I watched his thin frame, leave the Homestead and walk into the woods. Instantly I left from my bed and followed.
As I walked, I lost track of him for a moment! But then, I found him again walking, he was bigger than he was just a few moments earlier, watching him! Completely naked, walking towards something both piercingly dark and blindingly bright.
It was so distracting that I lost my view of him, only to look up and see him once again, small, clothed, and marching mindlessly!
That is when I heard the sounds of footsteps behind me! Peering over my shoulders, crouching, so as not to be seen, a half dozen towering figures stomped through the trees! I recognized each and every one of them… They were all Hieronymus!
Thick, massive muscle stretch, stretching, bulging throbbing with the slightest movement! They looked every bit the same size as Goliath from Samuel!!
They shoved past me, I know not if they saw me! I doubt they could, again their prolifically prodigious phalluses stretched so long! So hard! They had a tremendous Blindspot! It was actually this Blindspot I used to follow them! Carefully crouching and walking under the shadowed cover of their giant cocks, we got to the centre of the woods. This tremendous clearing.
And my God, that is where everything stopped making sense!
In the centre of the clearing, there was a tremendous mountain! And glowing that same cerulean! The smallest of the Heironymus beings approached an outcropping, which seemed to stretch towards him! Touching his chest!
In an instant, the small frail Heironymus burst out of his clothing! Throbbing moaning, stroking himself in the most obscene way! Stretching, taller, bigger stronger oh my goodness it was remarkable! All of this mass from seemingly nowhere as he got bigger and bigger still !
Feet stretching across the forest floor! His head inching taller by the moment! Veins cascading over his thick muscle body. I swear to you sister I could not hold back. I felt myself overcome with a need. Truly a shocking and shameful need, it must have been the energy from that Grove.
His growth continued unabated! All of the other colossal brutes of various sizes gathered together! Groping and kissing and squeezing on another! Growing against each other, bigger and bigger still! This orgy of behemoth!
But then all of them stopped what they were doing. Turning towards the centre mountain and sister… This is where… This is where everything was illuminated!
The centre mountain, seemingly well over 100 feet tall, it sat up! My goodness. Dear sweet God, it sat up!! The glowing mountain was… Was Hieronymus! And unlike the hulking multitude at his feet, he could see me! He plucked me from the ground effortlessly!
He flexed a bicep bigger than I was tall! Letting his smaller selves, stroke and worship his colossal endowment and told me everything! He had a miserable first week at his attempt to Homestead! The first tree, he, chopped down, had collapsed, pinning him onto the ground!
That would have been the end of him. If it were not for the lights from the sky! Cerulean tears of heaven raining down over him! The sky lighting up, brilliantly! He thought it was an omen or an angel falling, perhaps. Once the light had faded, and all of the brilliant streaks had fallen into the ground around him, the water runoff began to pool around him! Soaking into his body!
And that is when he started to grow… And grow… And grow! His massive body just towering into the sky! And yet he was still connected to the ground! He showcase the tremendous veins that cascade over his muscle bound form, and how they connect into the ground! Almost like the roots of the trees around him!
He thought he was trapped, a God in stature and power, but stuck! And he was panicked that he would never have the home you deserved! And that is when he awoke to find his first ever offshoot!
And it would just keep going like that! He would make another offshoot, it would clear a little of the forest, build a little of the house, and grow bigger and bigger and bigger as it aged! Before returning back to begin the cycle a new!
He’s able to keep them out longer and longer now! Oh, you will have a wondrous time visiting him! Worshipping every inch of his tremendous muscle body! He is truly gigantic! Watching every muscle throb and bounce as if on cue! It’s mesmerizing !! And you’ve got a house fit for a queen! And know that every single week you will awake to a new bigger stronger, Hieronymus!!
As for myself, I plan to stay here! He’s slowly giving me some of his own energy, the results are astounding, I feel bigger, stronger than I have in ages! I’m so large I can look over the tree tops! Also do not worry about me being lonely! There was an adorable young ox calf on the Homestead I had taken quite a shining too, and he’s been touched by Hieronymus as well! Growing at an astounding rate, though the energy does give him quite a peculiar shade of fur! I cannot wait for you to arrive!
