It was nearly two in the morning, and Marissa was fighting the urge to sleep while playing Genshin Impact at her desk. She had spent the night doing the main story quests and was just finishing up doing her daily side quests.
Marissa was doing all of this running around as Mavuika, who has been her obsession character ever since her release a while back. Marissa loved everything about the character, from her amazing design to her well-written personality and story.
Mavuika was the best, in her opinion, which was why she was now Marissa’s main in her party and the only character she uses when she plays with friends. Marissa just loved her that much—more, in fact; she wished more than anything she could be Mavuika in real life.
However, as a trans woman, it wasn’t really the most realistic dream. Especially since she was a lot shorter and a bit wider and much flatter than the character, and the cosplay she bought of the character was too big, and she always felt bad wearing it.
Feeling dysphoric is never fun, so she just avoids the costume and focuses on what makes her happy, that being playing the game as the character and even the dreams she has at night where they’re running around together.
After finishing her last quest, Marissa let out a long yawn. She stuck her arms out to stretch and let out a yawn. She smiled and told herself that was enough for the night, then she got up and walked over to her closet.
Marissa grabbed her favorite burgundy-colored nightgown out of it, then removed the clothes she had been wearing that day and tossed them into her hamper. Marissa then quickly put on the nightgown and spun around in it a few times before jumping into bed.
She got all snug in her blankets and cuddled her pillow, and moments later she was sound asleep. Once her REM cycle started, Marissa found herself outside of Mondstadt, standing next to the female traveler Lumine.
Lumine invited Marissa to travel with her, and Marissa was more than happy to join her, even if she was still only wearing her nightgown. It was a dream, so it didn’t really matter what she was wearing; however, this dream was different—it was more vivid and realistic than ever before.
Marissa and Lumine went around fighting some small monsters and helping town folk, and eventually they made their way across Tyvet together, gaining a few new team members as they went.
Eventually they had to fight a boss together, and Marissa thought it was going to go well, but her entire team was quickly defeated, and they were about to perish forever. Marissa was stuck on the ground, unable to move from being hurt, and was watching as her fingers continued to be hit.
Marissa, with all her heart, called out to someone, anyone, to give her the power to save her friends. She didn’t know if anyone would answer, but someone did. It was the voice of the character she loved the most, Mavuika.
Mavuika told Marissa she’d share all of her power and that they could become one and save her friends. Marissa, with tears in her eyes, thanked Mavuika and accepted. As soon as she did, her entire body burst into flames.
Moments after that, Marissa walked out of the flames, looking just like Mavuika and now wielding all of her powers. Marissa ran to action, saving her friends and beating the boss all on her own, after which she was praised by all her companions.
Once they all started traveling, Marissa followed behind them while checking herself out. She was truly Mavuika now, so that meant she had a more feminine-looking body, with long red hair, and everything she’d always wanted; it was truly her dream come true.
Marissa’s dream continued with more adventures, while outside her dream Marissa was starting to feel warm. In her sleep she tossed her blanket off and onto the floor. She began to sweat a bit as well as toss and turn.
As she did, her body started to grow taller, making Marissa go from five foot four to six foot one.
Her sudden growth spurt was a bit much for her nightgown, and once she reached a certain size, it began to tear apart at the seams.
After that she started to get thinner, losing her large shoulders she always hated and gaining the curvy waist she always wanted. Following that, her hair started to grow out. She went from having a short brown bob cut to having long wavy red hair with yellow undertones.
Her transformation continued down to her face, where her eyebrow changed colors and her eyes changed to take on the unique design Mavuika had in hers. It continued downward, making her face rounder and shrinking down her Adam's apple until it couldn’t be seen anymore.
The next thing to change was further down on Marissa’s chest. Her small a-cup breasts started to feel sore for a moment before suddenly starting to grow larger size by size until they matched Mavuika’s to a t.
That caused Marissa’s nightgown to rip even more, this time falling to the sides of her as it became completely unwearable. The last change was Marissa’s lower region; that extra part she’d always hated vanished entirely, leaving a flatter replacement that Marissa would never hate.
After that, Marissa no longer felt hot and stopped sweating, and she was even smiling, as now in her dream she was walking through a field of pretty flowers, picking her favorite ones with Lumine by her side, and enjoying every moment of being her favorite character.
Marissa continued to sleep soundly, having the best dream of her life, until the morning sun came up and shone on her face. Marissa groaned and sat up. She had the biggest smile on her face until she realized she was awake and wouldn’t look like Mavuika.
Marissa sighed and then got out of bed like she normally did. As soon as she was up, she noticed something was off, especially because her nightgown was falling to the floor around her. Marissa was worried she ruined her favorite nightgown in her sleep.
She went to grab it to check but was completely shocked by what she saw. It was hard to miss how large her chest had gotten, but on top of that, everything around her looked different from her new higher height.
Marissa ran over to her computer and turned on her camera, as she didn’t have a mirror in her room because she didn’t really like seeing her reflection. She wanted to know if what she was seeing was real, and sure enough, Marissa was looking at an exact copy of Mavuika, without any clothes.
Marissa's mouth opened up and she was shocked. She thought she had to be dreaming, but after pinching her cheek to see if it hurt, she confirmed she was awake. Marissa started to celebrate and dance around, which got her new chest moving a bit too much.
Marissa stopped and let out a laugh. She then looked at the floor where her ruined nightgown was sitting. It was sad to see, but it wouldn’t fit her now anyway, nor would any of the clothes she had, which would be a problem.
Marissa wondered what she was going to do; perhaps she could make something out of a blanket, but that would definitely be awkward. Marissa puffed her cheeks and kept thinking about what she should do, then it hit her.
She still had the costume she bought, which was too big. Marissa ran over to her closet and pulled the box containing it out. She brought it all to her bed and tossed the lid off the box. She then grabbed the wig and tossed it to the side since she didn’t need it.
She then pulled out the main part of the costume, the biker suit made to fit a body exactly like the one Marissa found herself in now. Marissa giggled as she quickly slipped it on and zipped it most of the way up.
Marissa then quickly slipped on the heels and other remaining accessories, including the cool sunglasses. Once it was all on, Marissa ran back to the computer to check herself out. After a moment of silence, Marissa started screaming with glee because of how amazing it all was.
She then went and lay on her bed with the biggest smile on her face. She had no idea how any of this was possible, but she no longer felt bad about herself, and she literally had her dream body. Truly, she couldn’t ask for more, and she wasn’t going to waste this gift. She planned to make the most of it, but maybe after she does her daily quests as none other than her favorite character.

You know, I like Mavuika, of course, not as much as Marissa, but still... however, there is one thing, but of course I love Mavuika as a character, but... how can I say this... she is a Pyro Archon in Natlan - a nation of war! (at least that's what they said before Natlan appeared) in the world of Genshin Impact, where a conditional magical medieval world reigns (at least that's what it seems from the outside at a quick glance, but if you delve into the lore, a completely different picture appears) and at the same time she is dressed in a tight suit, she rides a motorcycle, and cute dinosaurs run all over Natlan, and in general, their blacksmith (Xilonen) has a DJ booth and roller skates... in general, it caused dissonance for me... now I have come to terms with it, accepted it and began to enjoy it, but still...
