Cursed Object: Stripper Pole
🕑 Added 2023-10-12 00:45:52 +0000 UTCI recently inherited an old abandoned strip club from my grandparents after they passed away. It hasn’t been open in nearly fifty years, apparently, it was really popular back when my grandfather was running the place.
They closed the place after my grandmother got pregnant with my mother, I’m not really sure why they never reopened it. Perhaps their morals changed and they decided they didn’t want to be involved with it anymore.
Whatever their reasons were they left the place to me, so it was my problem. I’m heading over there now to check the place out and to prepare the place to be sold. I don’t have the experience or knowledge to run a business never mind a strip club.
I thought the inside would be a dusty broken-down mess, but it was spotless on the inside. All the equipment worked and seemed modern. The bar was even fully stocked, if I didn’t know any better I would say it was ready to open.
Perhaps they wanted to reopen it, but age caught up to them before they could. Or the alternative, Grandma was putting on shows for Grandpa. I don’t really want to sit here and think about that. With everything in much better condition than I expected, I sat at the bar and pulled up my phone.

I could sell this place like I was intending and let that cursed pole be someone else's problem. On the other hand, I could open this place back up. I won't even need to rush to hire any strippers, I clearly had that covered.
Just a bartender, a bouncer, and a few servers. I could always hire more staff if necessary. Was I really considering this? At some point, some government people found out about my change and the pole. They took the pole away so it wouldn’t curse anyone ever again. They also took care of changing any paperwork involving my new identity and let me continue with my club.
I had a new pole installed and with no worry of anyone else getting cursed, I went ahead and hired more dancers. Life is pretty good now. The club made me a lot of money, and I had a good time in and out of work hours. I honestly wouldn’t change a thing.
