As if a world where you could encounter a cursed object at any moment that could completely change your life in an instant wasn’t bad enough, some fool discovered an ancient magical spell that allows the caster to meld their soul into any object they touch.
There were a few problems with the spell though. Once you cast the spell there's no backing out, as it’ll draw you to the nearest object. I just so happened to be one of those people who had fallen victim to this. It all happened the last time I walked through my apartment door. I had just walked through the door after getting the mail that day.
