Becoming a mom in an alternate reality (September 2023 Exclusive)
🕑 Added 2023-09-01 18:04:38 +0000 UTC“Dammit Doc, it’s been a week and you still haven’t shown up to save me from this crazy reality,” Martha said as she sat on the couch snacking on her fifth bag of potato chips that morning.
“One day as a very large pregnant version of myself was enough but a whole week has been rough.” She sighed and continued to eat. “I mean getting to lounge around all day is pretty neat, but that's about it.”
“I can't get u on my own, I’m constantly hungry, I’ve had crazy mood swings, and my damn tits won't stop leaking. Worst of all, this version of myself was expecting to give birth anytime this week, so I might end up having to do it for her.”
The thought of giving birth caused shivers to shoot throughout Martha's body. “I really hope that doesn’t happen, I’m sure the Doc has some sort of plan and is on the way to save me. I’ll kill him if he doesn’t come in time.”
As Martha was sitting on the couch her husband had entered the room carrying a large bag of takeout. “Hey honey, I got all the things you asked for.” The man hands the bag to Martha. “Thank you so much! You don’t know how hungry I am!”
The man laughed. “Well, judging from what you ordered quite hungry. Don’t worry you won’t have to deal with it for much longer. I mean you were due today, so any day now you should be giving birth to our baby.”
“Ugh don’t remind me, I’m not prepared for that.” The man looked concerned. “Really? Since when? I didn’t realize you were nervous about it.” The man then looked somewhat relieved. “I’ll be honest I’m completely freaking out about it.”
“I didn’t say anything because you’ve seemed pretty confident about it all, at least until this week started, but I’m glad it’s not just me.” The man exited the kitchen holding two plates and forks and sat down next to Martha.
Martha couldn’t tell the man the truth, so she had no choice but to go with what he was assuming. ‘Uh yeah, I’m nervous about it for sure, but uh.. There’s no need to worry, everything will be okay, and you’ll be a great dad.”
Martha then awkwardly patted the man on the head to show some sort of affection to him. The man looked confused but grabbed her hand from atop his head and held it in his. “You’re right, and I’m sure you’ll be a great mom.”
“Now how about we get to this food.” The man started to pull the food out of the bags, and there was everything from steak and pizza to Chinese takeout and spaghetti and meatballs. “Now that’s an idea I can get behind.”
Martha grabbed a plate and fork from her husband and started to fill it with a little bit of everything, piling it all together into one mess of a dish. “This is going to be so good, thank you for getting all this!”
The man smiled and filled his plate up as well. Before digging into his food, he grabbed the remote and put the news on the television. After which he starts to chow down, and the two of them watch the news as they eat.
A female news anchor appears on screen and starts talking about random events that had happened in the area that day, eventually, she gets to a story that manages to get Martha’s attention.
“Local genius, Doctor Emily Brown the only scientist to crack the science of time travel has invented a device that scans the body for aged or damaged cells and uses time travel to damage and repair those cells.”
Martha dropped her plate onto the coffee table in front of her. “It’s the Doc, but she’s also a woman!” Martha shouted out loud, then covered her mouth as she realized she said that out loud. She looked towards her husband and realized she was confused again.
“Yes, Dr. Brown is a woman. I’d think that’s obvious, I think she’s always been one, but she’s really smart so it wouldn’t surprise me if she also cracked the science behind gender change, although If she did, I’d hope she’d share it.”
“I have quite a few transgender patients that would do anything to get their hands on something like that. It would do them a lot of good, hell it could make it so I never see them again. As a therapist, knowing my clients don’t need me anymore is the best ending to our relationships.”
Martha stopped and stared at the man. “Wow, that's kinda of wholesome. I can see why this version of me fell in love with you.” The man smiled but was clearly confused about that comment.
“Yeah they do, but going back for a second. Do you know Dr. Brown? You’ve never mentioned her before?” Martha panics a bit. “Uh yeah, she um… Taught a class when I was in high school, you know before she was famous.”
He husband seemed to buy it. “That’s right, I forgot she was a teacher before she invented time travel. Now she works in that building she had built downtown next to my office. You should see the thing, it’s super high-tech, almost like a futuristic alien spaceship.”
A light clicked in Martha’s head. “You’re right, I should see it. Since you know where it is and can drive, how about you take me there and I introduce you to her?” “What like right now? It’s kinda late Martha, and I’m not sure you should be walking around too much.”
“Yes right now! I have a feeling she’s expecting me, and I don’t want to keep her waiting. Now please help me up, and help me get dressed so we can go.” The man sighs. “Alright, I’ll go grab you some clothes.”
The man gets up and heads upstairs, returning moments later with some nylon thigh-high socks, a pair of panties, a bra, a long-sleeved shirt, and a long skirt for Martha to wear. “Alright let’s get you dressed.”
The man slips the panties up her legs, then pulls each of her legs forward so he can get the socks on them. After that, he puts her feet through the top of the skirt and helps her stand up so he can pull it up.
He turns her around and puts her arms through the bra straps then hooks it together behind her back. Sneakily he reached his hands around her and gave them a big squeeze. “Eeek.” “Sorry I couldn’t help myself, they’ve gotten so big, they’re hard to resist.”
Martha didn’t say anything, mostly because she was embarrassed by needing help getting dressed, but also because she didn’t know how to deal with the fact that it felt good, and she really liked it when he did it. She might even want him to do it again.
The man grabbed the skirt and slipped it on over her head, over her large breasts and belly, and tucked it under her skirt. “Alright all set, Your slip-on shoes are by the door, go get them on and I’ll grab the car keys.”
“Alright, oh, and thanks for helping me…” The man smiled. “You don’t need to thank me, You’re my beautiful wife, and you’ve got a hell of a lot more on your plate than me. I should honestly be thanking you for all your work.”
Despite only putting in the work for one week, this still made Martha feel really good. She never got praised or treated this way in her world. Perhaps when she gets back home she’ll try to change how she lives so she can feel happy like this.
She heads to the door and slips on her shoes, and her husband comes up behind her shaking the keys. “Alright let's head out!” The tows make their way down to the car and get in. Her husband starts it up and they make the trip into town.
About a half hour later they managed to get through traffic and arrive at Dr. Emily’s facility. “This is it, admit it, it’s as impressive as I said.” Martha smiles. “Yes you’re right, it looks like a sci-fi spaceship, I sure hope it doesn't probe you.”
Her husband chuckles, then hops out of the car opens Marha’s door, and helps her out of the car. “Ugh, I feel kinda weird. Let’s hurry up and get in there.” Martha starts walking but her husband stops her by grabbing her hands.
“Uh Martha, I don’t think it’s a good time for that visit.” She turns and sees the man staring at the passenger seat in the car. “What? Why not we’re already here.” The man points at the seat and Martha walks back over to check it out.
When she looked at the seat it was clearly soaked. “The seat is wet? Why is that a big deal?” The man looked shocked. “Hunny, I uh, I think your water broke.” Martha being kind of clueless still had no idea what he was on about.
“My what? Come on, we don’t have time to waste let’s get inside.” She turned and a pain shot through her body. “Oh, that doesn’t feel very good.” The man grabbed Martha and put her back into the car.
“What are you doing? We need to go inside.” “Hunny, your water broke and you’re having contractions, our baby is coming. We need to get you to a hospital as soon as possible.” “Our baby… Is coming?”
Martha gulped. “You mean, I’m about to give birth…” Martha looked out the car window. “I was so close to getting to the Doc.” “Don’t worry, as soon as you push the baby out and recover we’ll go see her I promise.”
“Yeah great, All I have to do is give birth first. Such a simple task, a simple very painful, and intense task.” She looked at herself in the reflection of the window. Quietly, she said to herself. “It’ll be okay Marty, you can do it. What am I kidding, this will be awful. I never imagined I’d become a mom in another reality.”

Well, what can I say... He was very close, but alas, fate decided otherwise... Well, I hope that he will be a good mother because returning back to his reality will be very difficult!
