Starting a family pt1
🕑 Added 2023-08-28 19:40:47 +0000 UTCMy name is Curtis Shaw. I was single and quite lonely by the time I was twenty-nine years old. I spent most of my time working as a sales rep for an insurance company and the rest of it sleeping.
I didn’t do a whole lot other than that, mostly due to motivation and being tired from working ten-plus hours every day. So it wasn’t looking like I would ever find a relationship, never mind having kids.
My parents were starting to get worried they’d never have any grandkids and started putting a lot of pressure on me to find a suitable wife and get her pregnant. Of course, they think insulting me by calling me lazy and useless will motivate me to magically make a woman appear.
I mean, I did try a little bit. I downloaded several dating apps and even tried speed dating once, but most women don’t click with me, and the ones I feel any connection with end up ghosting me.
I get it, I’m a boring middle-aged man with no hobbies or real interests, who works all day. Not great qualities for a partner. So I’ve pretty much given up and accepted that I would be alone forever.
That was until my mother called me one day while I was sleeping in my apartment. I guess she had taken madders into her own hands and sought out help from a matchmaker, who was just a friend of hers who knew a lot of people.
My mother told this other woman about my situation and how hopeless I was and begged her to find someone willing to agree to marry me. How bad am I that I need to rely on an arranged marriage situation just to find someone?
With nothing to lose, I agree with it. My mother gives me an address and tells me to be the woman who owns the shop at the location. When I got to the location I was quite surprised, I thought it would be some antique store but instead, it was a fancy crystal shop.
I walked through the door and suddenly had an uneasy feeling. I walked to the counter and spoke to the store attendant. I told her who I was and she seemed really happy to see me. She grabbed my hand and pulled me into the back.
The woman told me she had a partner for me already, and we were to get married right away. She hesitated, saying that she only had one requirement, but apparently, my mother already agreed to it, so everything was good.
I asked about it, and the woman seemed to be avoiding something important but said that my future wife wanted to be the breadwinner and that I would be the one who stayed at home and raised the kids.
I didn’t mind that I’d rather stay at home all day than work such a tirling job anyway. Plus I’ll have a wife and kids soon, so it was a win-win for me. I told the woman that that was fine by me, that I’d do whatever it took to make sure this marriage happened.
That made the woman smile, and we made our way to her basement. There I saw a beautiful woman with bright pink hair wearing nothing but a white dress. I waved at her and asked if she was my future wife.
She looked confused and said No, I was to be her future husband. I laughed, figuring she was joking. The matchmaker introduced us and then pulled both of us into another room with a big circle on the floor.
I didn’t realize we would be married this quickly and I was starting to panic, but then my fiancee grabbed my hand and told me not to worry. Then she said I would enjoy being a woman, and she’d treat me like a queen.
Now I was really confused, I tried to clarify what was going on, but the matchmaker started to chant some strange words and everything around me went dark. When I came to I was sitting on a comfy chair looking at my own body.
I looked down and saw I was now in the woman's body. I got up yelling and demanding that they undo what they did. The matchmaker and my fiance in my body calmed me down and told me it was too late to turn back.
I asked them why the hell they did this, and both of them seemed confused, saying they thought I knew about the swap. I guess my mother had known and somehow forgot to mention it to me, but more like she purposely didn’t tell me.
My old body walked up to me and held me, apologizing for this, She never would have done it if he knew I didn’t know or agree, but since it happened he promised to teach me about this new body and keep the promise of treating me like a queen.
I was so drawn to him, or me, I don’t even know. Since I was stuck like this, I might as well learn how to live in it, and no one is better than his former own, and maybe he’s right, I might end up liking being a woman.
