What do you wish for: Cantooneroon
🕑 Added 2023-07-25 19:45:24 +0000 UTCHolding the ticket in their hands, Cantooneroon closes their eyes, and begins to think about appearing before the genie. The number 45 appears on the ticket, and Cantooneroon is instantly teleported in front of a genie.
“Hello there, I’m a magical wish granting genie and I’ve just summoned you to my realm to give you a free wish. You're my forty-fifth customer, isn't that great!” The genie then waits for you to state your wish.
“I wish that I was able to get better grades.” The genie stares at Cantooneroon. “So like, you want to be smarter? Or do you just need the ability to focus more? There are many ways to help you here.”
The genie puts her hand on her head. “I guess I could just do both of those, that would guarantee you get better grades.” The genie smiles and rushes away from Cantooneroon heading towards a large pile or glowing orbs.
The genie grabs one hand and returns to Cantooneroon and presents it to them. “This orb will definitely make you smarter and help you stay focused, but there might be some additional unintended effects, do you still want it?”
Cantooneroon nodded their head and the genie handed them the orb. “Alright, it should work its magic when I send you back home. So prepare yourself, as your life will never be the same.”
The genie lifted her head, and Cantooneroon was sent flying through a portal with the orb in hand. They held onto the orb tightly and closed their eyes, hoping that they would make it back to their world safely.
After a minute she no longer felt like she was falling or flying, so she opened her eyes, but everything was very blurry. She rubbed her eyes but still couldn’t see. She placed her hands on her desk and felt something.
Just feeling it she could tell it was a pair of glasses. She picked them up and tried them on, and suddenly she could see everything. She guessed her wish somehow made it so she needed glasses.
She looked at her desk to see several advanced level books and tests sitting before her. Immediately looking at them she was able to understand and solve them, and she began happily filling them out.
She was so focused she didn’t even notice her teacher walk up behind her and start looking at her work. “Cantoon, there’s no need for you to study so hard, you’re already way ahead of everyone else.”
Cantoon jumps due to the teacher starterling her. She then insisted to the teacher she was enjoying it. “I know you are, you’ve always been quite the bookworm, but school ended an hour ago.”
The teacher puts his hand on his head. “I know full well I can’t convince you to stop studying, but try to go home before it gets dark.” With that the teacher waved her goodbye and left the room.
Cantoon went back to the things on her desk and picked up a large book and began to read it. She quickly managed to read a hundred pages before someone else had snuck up behind her and hugged her.
“Cantoon girl, I can’t believe you’re still studying? You never take any time for fun, well unless I make you.” Cantoon looked at the girl and recognized her form before she made her wish, they weren't friends before, but she guessed they are now for some reason.
“Earth to Cantoon are you there? For a super smarty, things sure do go in one ear and out the other.” The girl starts packing Cantoon’s desk into a backpack. “Alright, now that I got your attention, how about we have a sleepover at my house.”
The girl grabbed Cantoon’s hand and began to pull her along. Cantoon was confused, why would a girl want to have a sleepover with her? As she was being pulled, she finally realized her body had changed quite a bit, she couldn’t believe she didn’t notice, she might have been focused on the wrong things.
