Hey everyone, and happy Sneak Peek Thursday!
Today I’m sharing a small glimpse of my latest map in the Lothburgh series: The Streets of New Ashes!
If you're new to the project, Lothburgh is a gritty, Victorian/Industrial-inspired campaign setting being built from the ground up by the incredibly talented Lunch Break Heroes. This world is still in development, but keep your eyes peeled—there’s a Kickstarter on the horizon!
I’ve had the pleasure of helping with playtesting, including some fantastic new subclasses like the Battlefield Surgeon (Rogue) and Pugilist (Fighter). They've been an absolute blast to play!
The setting centers on the city of Lothburgh, where your party plays as private investigators navigating mystery, danger, and paranormal intrigue. From missing persons to fighting back against the harsh realities of factory life, there’s no shortage of adventures to uncover.
The Streets of New Ashes is my third map for this setting. This borough—one of Lothburgh’s poorest—is built into an old quarry and home to the city’s exploited working class. Despite the grim conditions, the people of New Ashes are fiercely loyal and protective of their own.
The map itself winds through muddy, smoke-filled streets that ascend the quarry tiers, lined with tightly packed row houses. It’s designed to add verticality and atmosphere—perfect for both tense encounters and dramatic moments.
The full release will be ready on Monday—can’t wait to share it with you!
