Champion Tier - Mourninghold Halls - 4 Maps - 30x40

Hello everyone, and happy New Release Monday! Today, I'm excited to share with you four new maps I've created to support the newest Lunch Break Heroes adventure, "The Embers of Hubris."
This will be the last of the adventures featured in the awesome Librus Nocturnum Kickstarter which is an anthology of all of the Lunch Break Heroes adventures I've created maps for. This means a great deal to me as it'll be the first published hardback book I'll get to see my work in, and I have you all to thank for your continued support in allowing me to pursue my passion and create all manner of maps that can be useful in your games.
Today's release consists of 4 different maps along with the LBH adventure "The Embers of Huburis" pdf. These maps will support part 1 of the adventure, and this week, I'll be working on maps to support the end of the adventure.
The Embers of Hubris takes place in a massive cathedral named Mourninghold. When I say massive, I mean the structure is so large it is considered its own demi-plane! Mourninghold has such a strong pull; it can pull in entire towns and cities overnight, and within its arched halls reside full towns and the creatures that roam within. Mourninghold's grand design was created by a construct known only as "The Architect," and a cult has formed around the worship of this creature who makes sacrifices of those innocents pulled into Mourninghold.
The first set of maps are as follows:
- The Cultist Camp: One of the adventure locations, here the cultists have set up a camp in an abandoned lumber town that was pulled into Mourninghold.
- The Halls of Mourning: This is a generic location featuring the grandeur of Mourninghold. It is said that even if you jump out of the arching stained glass windows, you will find yourself in a different area of the cathedral, making escape impossible. Well...nearly impossible.
- The Halls of Ruin: Mourninghold has begun to crumble under the sheer weight of itself and the twisting hubris of The Architect. Undead and cultists roam the halls, and this map makes for a great encounter map for your players.
- The Great Mound: Here, a massive shrine to the Architect has been built by the cultists out of golden pillars, bone, and rubble. It is here where the cultists string up those pulled into Mourninghold to feed them to one of The Architect's creatures known as the Prowling Chaos, an aberration that feeds off of the flesh. Surrounding The Great Mound is a shanty town where the cultists live, built by scraps of the many buildings and towns that have been pulled in and abandoned throughout the years.
For each map, I've created seven different color moods along with a no-light version for additional VTT flexibility.
For my Champion Tier patrons, you will get the following in this release:

This week, I'll be working on the next set of maps to support this adventure and conclude your player's harrowing journey through Mourninghold.
As we enter into Feb, I'll be pivoting back to my Village of Barovia map to create an interior version for all of the home interiors as well as creating the next of the key locations as I re-make my former VoB maps.
On the Saltmarsh front, we'll be continuing to location #8, the Green Market, which will be an open-air outdoor market near the coastline of the Saltmarsh harbor.

Wow!! That is such a good idea!! I love this so much. I could see Mourninghold existing deep within Stehlenwald, a left over remnant of Galt's madness during the corruption of the gods. Even the architect himself could have been constructed by the Gnomes and Dwarves together, and the plans were given to them directly from Galt. There are tons of inspiration here and I never made that connection but I am for sure using this in my own Grim Hollow game. Great idea!

These are hauntingly beautiful! If I were to run this adventure in Etharis, I'd probably make the Mourninghold either the crumbling ruin of Galt the Builder's divine realm or something he made during his Leopold-induced madness. Those that become trapped here worship the Architect as an aspect of the dead god, unaware that somewhere within its lair a *real* Imperial Artifact is hidden.

Glad you like them! I love how the gloom came out but the night versions will always be my fav <3
