The game just needed a furry character. And it became a tiger.
Why? It's hard to remember now😅
Maybe because @son_of_agrabah was in China at that moment, where the tiger is considered a symbol of military courage and passion. Maybe the image of this animal just caught my eye ... Or someone from the team suggested.
(It is now thanks to our screenwriter that we know that everything must have a reason and any action must be justified. But then they acted rather intuitively and in the way that seemed right)
In general, be that as it may, the first furry in the game was the tiger Raj.
He didn't have a prototype. And that means character, as such, too. We just decided that since a tiger, it must be aggressive😄
Therefore, the expression on the face of Raj is not kind.
Then no one suspected that Raj would become one of the favorite characters in the game. The first scene ended right at the meeting between Maya and the Kujin leader at the Lake. There was simply no further script.
And when the story began to gain momentum and develop, the image of Raj did not change.
Now the appearance of the character has completely changed. And not only the quality of art has improved.
Raj stopped grinning all the time😅
His facial expression is more neutral, and the grin and smile have become additional emotions in order to more accurately convey the mood.
Perhaps in the future he will have other emotions. But this is not certain yet, because there are so many more characters in the queue😎
Now, comparing the two Rajes, we can say with confidence that the rework was a success. We are 100% happy with his new look.

История появления Раджа, как и у Маи, лишена горячих споров и долгих раздумий.
Игре просто нужен был фурри персонаж. И им стал тигр.
Почему? Сейчас уже трудно вспомнить😅
Может потому что @son_of_agrabah в тот момент находился в Китае, где тигр считается символом военной отваги и страсти. Может изображение этого животного просто попалось на глаза…Или кто-то из команды предложил.
Это сейчас благодаря нашему сценаристу мы знаем, что у всего должна быть причина и любое действие должно быть оправдано. Но тогда действовали скорее интуитивно и так, как казалось правильным.
В общем, как бы там ни было, первым фурри в игре стал тигр Радж.
Прототипа у него не было. А значит и характера, как такого, тоже. Только решили, что раз тигр, значит обязательно должен быть агрессивным😄
Поэтому выражение лица у Раджа такое не доброе.
Тогда никто не подозревал, что Радж станет одним из любимых персонажей игры. Первая сцена заканчивалась как раз на встрече Маи и вождя Куджинов у озера. Дальше сценария просто не было.
А когда история начала набирать обороты и развиваться, изображение Раджа менять не стали.
Сейчас внешний вид персонажа полностью изменился. И улучшилось не только качество артов.
Радж перестал постоянно скалиться😅
Выражение его лица более нейтральное, а оскал и улыбка стали дополнительными эмоциями, чтобы точнее передавать настроение.
Возможно в будущем у него появятся и другие эмоции. Но это пока не точно, ведь на очереди ещё столько персонажей😎
Сейчас, сравнивая двух Раджей, мы с уверенностью можем сказать, что реворк удался. Мы на 100% довольны его новым видом.
