Some important news (!)
🕑 Added 2024-11-16 18:23:12 +0000 UTCThere are a few things I feel like I need to share to all of you, followers and supporters alike. Pretty much some explanations for why things have been going slowly and what I've been up to.
Due to personal financial issues, I've been racking up work on the side, doing commissions and such in order to boost my income. I've also recently started working with the Developer 4MinuteWarning for his project Ravager, as a sprite artist. I'm currently still on probation but if things go well, I might be brought onboard as a one of the team.
I understand a lot of you are concerned with how this affects Poke H. After all, I'm not only working a day-job, I'm now dividing all my evenings among 3 games (Poke H, Tower of Giruvegun, and now Ravager). And as my followers and supporters, you have every right to be concerned with how this affects progress on any of those projects moving forward.
I'll be frank with all of you, things are slow. I'm slowly working on Poke H in the background, I'm also managing the artists I've hired for ToG in creating art/musical scores, I'm also seeking a full-time scripter in case our resident code-boss Qmanul is too busy to assist me. I've also recently finished a couple of character sprites for Ravager. On top of that, lets be honest here, I'm quite tired. So tired... Working full days with barely any time for my own personal relaxation and enjoyment is... not fun. I'm not even kidding. Early this year, I bought Elden Ring's DLC, and I haven't touched it. Bought Black Myth Wukong, haven't touched it either. A friend gifted me Silent Hill 2 remake, haven't touched it either. I'm just... worn out. Now at the end of the year, I'm taking a bit of time off next week to go travelling with my family. Some of you already knew of this from a previous post, but if you hadn't read it then, you know now.
TLDR; For those who aren't interested in my ranting and just want to know the important stuff;
1) Is Poke H still in development? Yes. I promised I will eventually finish this game, and I will. But things are slow, as I have a lot on my plate. You could say my workload is self-inflicted, but I'm doing it for 2 reasons; Passion, and the paycheck. I'm stuck between a rock and hard place. All I can ask is for your patience and understanding.
2) How is ToG coming along? Slowly and steadily. I've commissioned 2 pieces of music so far from the Composer. Both are ready, and I will be releasing the 2nd one soon to patrons. The game itself is still stagnant, since I'm getting Qmanul to straighten up the system, and the many plug-ins I've bought to improve gameplay experience and immersion. He's trying to make it more linear atm, and I'm still working on the main roster of characters. (I'm almost done with the Black Witch, will likely post it a couple weeks from now.)
3) Ravager. I'm in probation til next year January. For now, I'm reworking individual sprites of older art that the dev wants to replace. Not much else I can share at the moment.
4) Wallpapers are obviously still being made, and the poll for the special Anniversary one has a winner; Angewomon x Gardevoir. I have some plans for this one, and since it will be available to the public as part of the anniversary, stay tuned!
Regardless, its been a long, productive and tiring year. I thank you all for sticking with me, and I hope to eventually work on indie game dev full-time. My sincerest thanks to each and every one of you that have stuck with my projects so far, and cheers to everyone!

i am not commenting too much here so i'm gonna drop a wall of text. i am following the development of ravager too, happy to see you on this project too, your art style is pretty similar to 4MinuteWarning so i'm pretty confident they will hire you. for your two other project, please don't overwork yourself. what you have done so far as been wonderful and i am still waiting to the rest in the future but if it's too much of work rn don't hesitate to slow down, you and your team has been really quick with each release. i wish you all a happy new year
