BTS Update #13 - Unknown map locations + Launch Control

I've been testing/de-bugging the demo/prologue for the last few weeks, it's been going well! I still think you'll get to play it before the end of 2023.
Some info on things happening in this video:
- Places on the map that you haven't driven too yet, are now hidden with a "?" icon until you drive there. You also can't fast travel to those locations until you have visited.
- When you equip a Circuit or Prototype ECU you get 2-step launch control! You can only use it from a full stop, and you have to wait for it to charge up(100% charged when it's full volume+flames). You activate it by holding the handbrake and gas. After you wait for it to fully charge, you'll get a small speed boost when you launch. You can use it at the start of races too.
- Your engine will take a lot of damage the longer you hold the launch control for. It also heats up your water+oil temps a lot when you use it.
- As mentioned in the main video; I've upgraded the lighting/shadows, textures and added ambient occlusion. These effects haven't impacted performance that much, it still runs very well on mid-level PCs. You can also adjust all these effects in the graphics settings menu.

I love everything about it <3 got a kind of dumb question but is it possible to play the game with a wheel when it releases?
Night-Runners
The game has a dusk-dawn cycle, meaning you are pretty much only playing during night. You start the night at 8pm, and the night finishes sometime after 8am. Time progresses very slowly during gameplay, but jumps forwards different amounts with certain actions; entering a race, leaving the garage, leaving a meet, finishing a race ect. When the night ends, you get a summary screen and then teleported back to your bed in your hideout, where the night is started again at 8pm.

Looking great as per usual. Love the idea of balancing the launch control by making it very taxing on the engine, very unique way to give it a functional downside without making it too strong or completely useless. Mildly off topic questions, but how does the time progression work? Does time naturally progress to day after a few races or time in the garage? Do you get to race during the day or does it skip forward back to night?

I've considered it, I think it would be a cool feature but it's not currently in the game. If it does get added in the future; my plans are to do something like the 'import dealer' from the PS2 Tokyo Drift game, where it's a special dealer/auction for only imported cars.

Hey man, I applaud you for the game so far and holding back on the demo just hypes me up even more. Also, it's reasuring that you will not bring out an unfishied product which many people do now.
