Weekly dev blog: Back In The Saddle
🕑 Added 2025-06-02 16:11:51 +0000 UTCTime for another update on the state of Caliross! This week I worked on a new scene: A new "movie" is available to shoot for Erica from the nice duo in Solina. Once again, this path is only available after the quest "What The Eye Doesn't See" if you slept with the guys to solve it, so you must also have the bimbo trait.
Then I went ahead and added Dani to some of the events around town which might feature her (like the pirate attack) and I also added some new NPCs to Golden Leaf's expansion. The idea is to have the two houses there populate if the conditions are met. For now, a family joins if the pirate attack is completed, but I am still debating how deep I want to go (in theory it might be cool to have different people depending on the state of the town, but that might be too much effort).
The rest of the week took an unexpected turn, and I spent a lot of time fixing bugs, both old and new. I am surprised at how many issues are still there, but it's nice to know they will be gone soon. Here is a list of what got addressed:
Fixed issues at the Byr institute:
couldn't back out properly from the last page of the father list;
incorrectly got marked as not visiting often enough even if it was the first kid and you visited right away.
Fixed issue in the demon world where trying to trasform into a mouse to go back through the pipe triggered the wrong animation;
Fixed issue in the demon world where after breaking the wall with a Push spell you could interact with the exit without cancelling the spell first;
Fixed issues when going for a walk while pregnant: yelling at the man after you put out now has appropriate dialogues and a collision in the park was also fixed;
Fixed issue with the game incorrectly tracking your visits to your kids at the institute (sadly it might need a new save for the tracking to be updated properly);
Added debug option in the travel sphere to manually reset your "good mom" score, if you want to keep your current save;
Fixed issue during pregnancy (you aren't supposed to turn into a werewolf, and that can cause all sorts of issues);
Fixed issue when spending time at the beach and turning into a werewolf (you could go around with your bikini afterward, which isn't intended);
Fixed collision issues at the werewolf cabin (outside);
Changed schedule of the werewolves (most of them will not be there at night) which also fixes a number of issues with lighting/time flow;
Fixed Leon's "challenge map" (it had a path that allowed you to bypass a part of the challenge);
None of it was too complicated by itself, but some of this stuff was old, and "archeological bugfixing" is a bit slow and tedious, as I don't always remember where things are or if I had specific plans for this or that content.
As for the rest of the month, I'd like to focus on small things, if possible: I have a list of quality of life suggestions that I haven't gotten around implementing or looking at properly, as well as minor quests/events that I should probably write now. I also need to work on a secret to add to the world map (something which was part of one of the previous polls, some of you might remember, and I should have at least 1 or 2 more random events for the circus and the ship travelling, so I have plenty of choices as always.
For the sexy content, with Dani and the circus lady we should have enough outlets, although I might always do new stuff or something extra for other established paths (I was considering adding a sexy masseuse in Golden Leaf for the town expansion, or maybe just another scene for the cursed painting, that sort of stuff).
We'll see next week how much of this got implemented. Until then! ^_^
