Chapter 040 Confession to Ye Youyou
🕑 Added 2025-09-22 05:20:03 +0000 UTCBecause of this, Zheng Yuanda couldn't find a reason to fight back against Lin Junyi in the classroom. He could only pull out the bunch of pink lilies from the windowsill, pointed at Lin Junyi's nose and said coldly: "Lin Junyi, don't be too proud! I won't let you go. Sooner or later, I will make you kneel before me and beg for mercy!"
"That day will never come." Lin Junyi stared at Zheng Yuanda with a smile, looking indifferent.
In his opinion, it is normal for people who have lost face to say a few harsh words, but he really has to be careful in the future, because Zheng Yuanda is not someone to be trifled with!
Zheng Yuanda left angrily, taking the pink lilies he brought with him. No one knew what he would do with this bunch of failed flowers, but in any case, he would not destroy the flowers in front of Gu Qing.
"Thank you, deskmate." Gu Qing said softly after Lin Junyi returned to his seat.
"You're welcome, I just don't like others pursuing you!" Lin Junyi gently inhaled the sweet body fragrance emanating from Gu Qing's delicate body and said with a smile.
"Oh..." Gu Qingfang's heart was pounding as she pondered his words: "You don't like others pursuing me? Could this be his indirect confession to me?"
As she thought about it, the blush on her pretty face became more intense, as gorgeous and charming as the sunset, and her spirit became tense.
"If someone keeps disturbing you so blatantly, your academic performance may decline, and I won't be able to stay here for long." Lin Junyi explained with a smile.
Gu Qing's nervousness vanished with his caring voice, and her heart warmed. It turned out that he was thinking about her. Of course, she was not so stupid as to not see that Lin Junyi had a good impression of her, but this faint ambiguity made it easier for her to accept it.
Lin Junyi was very good at judging the situation. Under the heavy pressure of academic advancement, girls easily became nervous, and good students were no exception. Especially for a beautiful girl like Gu Qing, who came from a poor family and was specially recruited by the school, she also had to face the problem of being pursued by boys, which invisibly put her under even greater pressure.
What he needs to do is to give her a sense of security and proceed step by step. It doesn't matter if there is a little ambiguity occasionally. The relationship will be enhanced imperceptibly in the ambiguity. As long as Gu Qing slowly develops a sense of dependence on him, he will win her heart in the future.
On this point, Zheng Yuanda made a fatal mistake. When pursuing a girl, you should pay attention to the environment and not put too much pressure on her, as if you have to be with me. Why? Just because you are rich and powerful, can you manipulate other people's feelings?
Of course, this matter cannot be entirely blamed on Zheng Yuanda's recklessness. After all, the one who is close to the water gets the moon first. The fact that Lin Junyi and Gu Qing were at the same table also put invisible pressure on Zheng Yuanda, especially since Gu Qing happened to have some good feelings for Lin Junyi. The boy finally couldn't sit still and was ready to take the initiative to fight.
The result is predictable, he was pushed back by Lin Junyi.
"Xiao Linzi, you made the boys in our class proud again today!" After school, Jiang Xiaoyu was still excited about what happened during recess.
"It's nothing, I just defended my dignity." Lin Junyi said with a faint smile.
"Hey, Xiao Linzi, you have to be careful too! Zheng Yuanda is not someone you can easily mess with." Jiang Xiaoyu said in a low voice with a serious expression: "Zhao Kaishun and Zheng Yuanda, two of the most difficult people in our school, you've offended both of them."
"I know. I'll be careful," Lin Junyi thought to himself. It seems Jiang Xiaoyu isn't such a fool. He even knew to warn me. Zheng Yuanda would definitely retaliate, which was to be expected. But Lin Junyi didn't take it too seriously. He was now cultivating the legendary Yellow Emperor's Bible, and his strength was increasing by leaps and bounds. Ordinary people were no match for him. Furthermore, Lin Junyi was confident that it wouldn't be long before he could complete the first level of foundation-building and enter the second level of inner vision. By then, his physical strength would reach over a ton, and he would be able to truly cultivate.
After school in the afternoon, Lin Junyi quickly left the classroom and came to the place where he used to play with Ye Youyou.
The old tea trees still have new tea seedlings, but they are no longer the tender ones in early spring that can produce tea juice with a single rub. The grayish-white and yellowish low thatch has become soft. A small black leather backpack is casually thrown on the ground, and the butterflies on the cotton socks in the white tennis shoes flap their wings as the ankles shake.
Ye Youyou sat under the tea tree, her long eyelashes trembling gently, her slender fingers twisting a few dogtail grasses, and she was mumbling something.
"Little Ye, I'm here." Lin Junyi dropped his schoolbag and sat down beside Ye Youyou. He looked at the bluestone mountain in front of him, which was now coated with a layer of dazzling gold. He turned his head and looked at Ye Youyou's delicate face. A blush crept up from Ye Youyou's neck and stained her earlobes, which were still covered with fine and cute hair.
"The school has opened an art cram school. Classes will start next Saturday. Let's all sign up." Lin Junyi asked.
"I wanted to tell you about this too..." Ye Youyou lowered her head, not daring to look at Lin Junyi, her voice a little timid.
"After all, we are not in the same class anymore. If we are still together all day, people will gossip. On Saturday, we can paint together openly. Then I want to sit next to you." Lin Junyi lay on his back, holding a grass root in his mouth, looking at the sky. The blue sky and white clouds were so clear and dazzling. He had not seen such a scene in many years.
"Are we...are we being secretive? Why should I be secretive with you? I won't do that!" Ye Youyou seemed a little angry. "You know it will cause gossip!"
"Who said we were gossiping? That's jealousy, naked jealousy." Lin Junyi said disdainfully.
"No one said...but you said that to me that day..." Ye Youyou glared at Lin Junyi, the blush on her cheeks had not yet faded, and she looked particularly clear and charming.
Ye Youyou was right beside him. The young girl's body exuded a leisurely and refreshing fragrance, the smell of grass roots mixed with soil. Under the blue sky and white clouds, the boys and girls were lying on their backs, sitting, and talking about simple thoughts. Lin Junyi couldn't help but be intoxicated by it and gently held Ye Youyou's hand.
Ye Youyou looked at him nervously, not just in surprise, but more in disbelief. What was he going to do?
Lin Junyi held Ye Youyou's hand like this. His warm hand gradually became cold due to nervousness. Her small body was trembling a little. She was obviously struggling and hesitating. She didn't know what to do.
She wanted to pull her hand back, but she was afraid that Lin Junyi would be sad. She was even more afraid that Lin Junyi would do something that would make her shy just thinking about it. She was worried that she would run away and become a stranger to Lin Junyi from then on.
"Ye Zi, we have been good friends since the first grade of junior high school. We are inseparable and can be considered as childhood sweethearts. So, I want you to be my girlfriend. Will you agree?"
Lin Junyi looked at Ye Youyou's pitiful face with burning eyes and said seriously.
Now, having lived two lives, Lin Junyi's perspective on many things has changed dramatically. He once vowed that in this life, he would never again endure the same mediocre toil and contempt as in the past. He wanted to rise to prominence, to control his own destiny, to earn countless fortunes, and to possess all the stunning beauties in the world. Ye Youyou was his good friend. Although she was still young, she was sure to be a stunning beauty when she grew up. It was impossible to predict, unless he planted a seed in her heart now.
"I promise you..." Ye Youyou's tone was unexpectedly strong. "Actually, I've thought that if we continue to be good friends like this, I'll marry you when we grow up."
The girl's most private dream actually blossomed like a flower bud stained with dew. When the petals are peeled off, the exposed heart of the flower releases a fragrance in an instant that makes people lost and trapped.
The two blushes on Ye Youyou's cheeks cast charming light and shadows like the setting sun. "We are too young now, don't say such things... You are not allowed to say such things to me in the future, otherwise, what I said just now will not count."
Happiness is like a flower, happiness is like a vast field of wheat waves, happiness is like swaying rape flowers, what exactly does happiness look like? Lin Junyi didn't know, he just felt that he couldn't control himself at the moment.
Lin Junyi yelled, then jumped up and did a side flip on the grass like a spinning windmill...
“Hey… help!”
There was a low earthen slope in front of him, and at the bottom of the slope was a pile of wheat straw, which was loose and soft. Lin Junyi fell down and just lay there, staring at Ye Youyou, who was running towards him with a pale face, with a bright smile on his face.
"Bad guy!" Ye Youyou cursed, and then couldn't help laughing.
As the sun grew darker, Lin Junyi and Ye Youyou played around for a while and then went home.
