Infinity: 225 The Surrendering Curator is Trash
🕑 Added 2025-09-19 04:38:42 +0000 UTCChen Luo approached and examined O'Connor's arm. There was a tattoo, the mark of the Pharaoh's guard. This was to protect the Pharaoh and the princess. Unfortunately, the princess' reincarnation, Evelyn, had already taken on Chen Luo's form, her womb constantly filled with semen.
"The bracelet is unique, very nice, quite good. By the way, where's Hafiz?" Chen Luo simply nodded with a hint of a smile, seemingly unconcerned.
"The curator went into the pyramid and hasn't come out yet," Jonathan explained, then asked anxiously, "Boss, what should we do now? This bracelet won't come off. Does this mean we might die?"
"Boss Chen, we've heard the legend too. Anyone wearing the Scorpion King's bracelet will be killed by the Grim Reaper if they don't head to the desert oasis imbued with the Scorpion King's aura within seven days. And only the wearer knows the location of this desert oasis. So we have to leave quickly. Time is running out, and it'll take a long time to find the oasis," said a bespectacled reincarnator, an assault rifle slung across his back, looking a bit out of place.
Among the reincarnators, a woman wearing a baseball cap and a mask glared at Chen Luo with disgust. It was Chen Mi, who had been molested by Chen Luo earlier in the tomb over a pendant worth 100 points. Although she didn't rely on prostitution for a living, the feeling of being unable to resist and forced to comply still repelled and disgusted her. No woman likes being raped; sluts are made.
Chen Luo turned to look at the man with glasses. "If I remember correctly, you're the foreman of these people, right?"
Yan Xin nodded. "Yes, I am. My name is Yan Xin. Boss Chen, my team includes professional archaeologists and mercenaries. If you hire us, we'll do our best to complete the task."
"Didn't I hire you a long time ago?" Chen Luo suddenly asked, a hint of amusement in his smile.
"Those are two different things. We've already completed the excavation. If you still want to hire us, you'll have to pay us separately," Yan Xin said in a bargaining tone, preparing for the next round of negotiations.
Chen Luo calmly took out a cigarette and lit it. "Alright then, I've decided not to hire you anymore. O'Connor, let's go back to the nearest city and see if we can get some props like a plane or an airship, then we'll set off in search of the legendary oasis."
He didn't give the other party a chance to bargain, not even the slightest bit of money he had. Since he wanted more, he might as well give him nothing.
This left Yan Xin a bit dumbfounded. He had initially planned to ask for a high price and pay it back on the spot, but he hadn't expected the other party to just give up on hiring him. If this wasn't handled properly, it would be a real bummer! You know, during the caravan, they were still offered some small errands, ranging from a few items to a few hundred points. While not much, they looked very gratifying. If he lost the next mission because of this, he would surely be hanged by his angry colleagues on the city wall!
"Hey, Boss, we can negotiate. The Death Oasis is teeming with monsters, and you definitely don't want to face them alone. We can take on the work for a lower price." Yan Xin began to lower his asking price. Money didn't really matter to them. The main thing is to be able to stay, so that you can continue to receive missions.
"Wife, what do you think?" Chen Luo asked while hugging Rice, his expression not seeming to care much.
Rice's beautiful eyes narrowed slightly, with a seductive smile on the corner of her mouth, "I think it's okay, maybe. Your name is Yan Xin, right? Then work hard, and don't think of taking the opportunity to raise the price, otherwise you won't make a penny!"
"Yes, ma'am, we will definitely work hard." Yan Xin said respectfully, but in fact he looked down on the other party. To them, these natives are just plot characters, just an NPC, not worth investing in.
Chen Luo evacuated with his men here, and didn't care about the unusual movements in the pyramid. Anyway, the things were already in hand, and the next step was to get the ancient god bracelet.
In the pyramid, the curator Hefeis was found by the mummy high priest Imhotep.
In contrast to the others' fear, Hefeisi was incredibly excited. He spoke in Egyptian, "Respected High Priest, I am your servant Hefeisi. I have finally found you. Is this a miracle? Wonderful! Supernatural powers and phenomena truly exist!"
Immertep, already feeling somewhat strange, suddenly had an idea after seeing his actions. "Very good. I need a servant. If you perform well, I will grant you corresponding wealth." He then offered a handful of gold and silver jewelry.
Hefeisi remained unmoved. "Respected High Priest, once you have restored your magical powers, I will allow you to become one of them."
Immertep's expression became grim. "You want to become a mage?" He raised his hand, and countless quicksands appeared, floating in mid-air, accompanied by a large number of weapons and bullet casings. This phenomenon was definitely not normal, and would have bewildered anyone.
Hefeisi's heartbeat raced. This was clearly a temptation, an incomparable temptation. If only he could become a mage. The feeling of controlling supernatural powers was damn good. Very good. He was very ambitious. "Greetings, esteemed High Priest. It would be my honor to be your servant, and I thank you very much. I also have news for you: adventurers outside have found the wrist of the legendary Scorpion King. High Priest, you can track them to the oasis. Seize the wrist and kill the Scorpion King, and you will gain control of the invincible Death Legion. The world will then be yours. As your servant, I am deeply honored."
"Oh, such a thing!" High Priest Immertep's eyes flickered. He, too, yearned for power. With the aid of the Death Legion, his strength would soar to new heights. Besides, resurrecting his beloved would take time; conquering the world would be easy. Hearing this, Immertep reflected on the group that had just confronted him. It seemed that after being sealed away for thousands of years, his opponents and enemies had undergone tremendous changes. He, too, needed to adapt
