Kind of disagree, I think the manga-ka rushes this part in the manga. I haven’t read it, but it feels like that if it is really as short as they say. At least we got more exposure to the hashira and the training “feels” more substantial due to more time with everyone. I’m OK with it as a mini season as well, although practically I know they could have sequenced it better if they chose to. The Infinity Castle arc will be better because they didn’t just rush to it imo. I know people don’t always care for filler moments, but with this it truly feels like they put effort and passion into padding out the story in meaningful ways and that’s part of the reason why the anime is so much better than the manga in different parts. The manga is probably quite mid in several areas, but the anime is definitely a step or two above it despite drawing from the same source material.

It shouldn't have been a season at all. They should've added it to the end of Season 3 (maybe 3-4 episodes of training) that way we could've been on the next arc by now.

No offense but having fewer episodes of mid doesn't change the fact that it's mid imo.

Well yeah, because it shouldn't have been a whole season in the first place. Imagine season 1 ended at episode 5. The anime would have been canceled after the first season XD Their plan of making a 3 movie finally and this small arc just had an awkward placement. This 8 ep "season" could have been easily done in 4-5 ep. Knowing what happens in the manga they could have done that and add the start of the infinity castle arc in the last few episodes of the season.
