Btw for why Solo leveling wasn't liked much in Japan. One of the main reasons is that the stats boxes were in English and as someone who watched JP live reactions I saw that annoy the jp reactors a lot lol they couldn't understand shit and one of them dropped it bcs of that

This is a weird thought, but remember when OP, Naruto, and Bleach manga were still running at the same time? I remembered that OP and Naruto were like on top while Bleach is like the bottom of the Big 3, at least in terms of reception, manga sales, and popularity. After Bleach manga ended with that rushed finale, OP were (and still is) thriving with several arcs, anime, and movies. Same thing with Naruto with early Boruto and they all continued to grow while Bleach was collecting dust. Although there are novels, they didn't garner that much attention, especially after how much Tite Kubo failed to land the manga conclusion well. Now it feels like there's a shift. Now Bleach has more love than Naruto with the Hell arc, Burn the Witch, and the TYBW anime with new content. Only in terms of reception and popularity though. Quality-wise, I can't judge since idk how good Boruto is nowadays. Also in terms of expanding the series, it feels like Bleach is getting more love on that too (but the hate in general is just as strong as years ago XD). I asked my friends at university and other otaku folks in the city, and they say they never read or watched Boruto anime. Some do, but they don't follow the weekly episodes during its airing. They sounded like it was a chore doing it even when the the anime finished its airing a while ago. Meanwhile they were having a blast watching TYBW and they are obviously enjoying the hell out of OP recently. All I'm saying is that comparing the reception of those series/franchises from over a decade ago, to their current state in the present, is a bit like night and day, and it's like the tables have turned. or maybe it's just me idk
