KOL the NieR Automata game is almost entirely different (that's why its called Ver 1.1a). The results are the same (like Eve dying, Adam & 9S corrupted) but the execution is completely different. for example, they never fight Adam & Eve together inside an Alien Ship. Adam just tells 2B about aliens instead. The stuff about Emil, The Dragon, The Lunar Tear Flower, The Crystallized Humans in the Copied City, Project Gestalt, The Replicants, and Humanity's Extinction are related to the 1st NieR game (the remake is called NieR Replicant). The Dragon is actually related to Drakengard (Another Yokotaro Game). There was an extra ending in the 1st Drakengard where The Dragon would "leave" Drakengard with "The Giant" to fight each other in another world. that world was Earth, Modern Day Tokyo. it was originally a practical joke and a homage to The End of Evangelion but that very world is where NieR takes place in. NieR lore is insane lol
