KOL I think you slightly overreacted with DxD, I get the moment with issei and raynare was weird and the subs didn’t help when issei said “suki” which in this context “like” would have been the accurate translation and not him saying I love you to a girl after one date. I doubt you will make it far enough to see it but the plot line with raynare later will surprise you.

Yeah i usually skim through the Monogatari nonsense for the actual plot stuff when watching the reactions for those. However, idk why anyone would want to watch someone react to High School DxD anyways.

I mean, KOL likes Monogatari for how they explore certain themes. Like in this one in particular, he was fascinated by how it dives deep into the theme of hypocrisy. When you compare it to dxd, a show that is good imo, but follow old shonen and harem tropes, yeah I guess KoL likes monogatari more.

If you decide to drop Highschool DxD, I would recommend Heaven's Lost Property. It's a better ecchi anime that has much better comedy and I think a better protagonist.
