Your buddy does their pool maintenance so he already had a key; he left it in your mailbox that morning with a note that he'll meet you later. It's kinda weird for him, and it's weird that he ghosted you at the meetup, but you go in anyway. More loot for you, right?
The couple catches you off guard as you slip in through the pool door. Even their dog is eerily still- as if they're not at all surprised to see you. One's just in his swim trunks, and both are barefoot. They look incredibly vulnerable. But something is off. By the time you put your finger on it, it's way too late.
"Right on time," the older man says. "Now it's a party."
